1. Religion easily has the best bullshit story of all time. Think about it. Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky. Who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer, and burn, and scream, until the end of time. The Impossible Art Of Li Wei

Chinese artist Li Wei from Beijing started off his performance series ‘Mirroring’ and later on took off attention with his ‘Falls’ series which shows the artist with his head and chest embedded into the ground. His work is a mixture of performance art and photography that creates illusions of a sometimes dangerous reality. Li Wei states that these images are not computer montages and works with the help of props such as mirror, metal wires, scaffolding and acrobatics.

Life Expectancy Rises For The Educated; The Less-educated Reap No Benefit

ScienceDaily (Mar. 12, 2008) — It's no secret that over the last few decades, life expectancy in the United States has been rising. However, recent data shows that not everyone has benefited from this encouraging trend. New findings from Harvard Medical School and Harvard University demonstrate that individuals with more than 12 years of education have significantly longer life expectancy than those who never went beyond high school.

In both data sets, life expectancy rose for individuals who had more than 12 years of education. For those with 12 years or less, it plateaued.

Overall in the groups studied, as of 2000, better educated at age 25 could expect to live to age 82; for less educated, 75.

Carbon nanotubes are a basic building block of nanotechnology

The "darkest ever" substance known to science has been made in a US laboratory.

The material was created from carbon nanotubes - sheets of carbon just one atom thick rolled up into cylinders.

Researchers say it is the closest thing yet to the ideal black material, which absorbs light perfectly at all angles and over all wavelengths.

The on-liners will have all the knowledge, the off-liners non.

Consider the fact that, since our universe erupted from the super hot, tremendously dense butthole of some parallel universe 14 billion years ago, a 400 quadrillion second long string of events, considered random only by people who have yet to figure out that there's no such thing, has preceded the present, making your sitting there in your little chair picking your nose the culmination of a magnificently intricate and complicated web of gazillions of reactions.

Every particle involved in an event as seemingly chaotic and random as an explosion follows the laws of physics, and will behave accordingly. The inability of your limited brain to predict the outcome such events just because they're highly complicated doesn't make them "random".
