Tips For Transporting Pets

There comes a time in most dogs and cats’ lives when a car journey becomes necessary. For many this is not a problem as they take to car journeys like ducks to water. But if there are problems, here are some of the things you can do to make life easier.

Ideally, getting a nervous dog used to cars as young as possible and travelling should be also done when they are quite young. Puppies will tend to be ill so no food or drink for at least a couple of hours before your journey could save you clearing up a nasty mess.

Lastly, continually talking to your pets is about the most soothing thing you can do. It often surprises me how many people forget this simple tip and they in turn are surprised how effective it is when they try it themselves.

Fraudsters Beware the Fate of Bernard Madoff

Yesterday Bernard Madoff, the disgraced financier, was jailed for 150 years for orchestrating the $65 bn fraud. The heavy sentence is a little pointless given that he is 71 years old, however it does reflect the severity of the crime and certainly sends a message to would be fraudsters…

Late trading yesterday on Wall Street and in Asian equities pushed up commodities; crude oil moved up 3.4%, copper and Gold also gained. This reflected increased risk sentiment in the markets. This led to the usual swings in the markets with the USD and Yen broadly sold.

EUR/USD pushed back up to 1.41, GBP/USD pushed over the 1.66 resistance level to a high of 1.6743 and GBP/EUR pushed through 1.18 to a high of 1.1850.

Look out for data from the US later in the form of consumer confidence and the Chicago Purchasing Managers Index, again if we see good data this should help the risk appetitie sentiment and fuel further sellling of USD.

DeCotta, McKenna & Santafé Turn to an English Court

Dissatisfied with the two rulings of the Court of Torrox, Jon Sutton, a partner of the De Cotta Law firm based in Mijas, has made an application to the Court in Hastings on behalf of his client Valerie Celia Russell, for the enforcement of the same Court Order dating back to 11th August 2004.

“We have had the Court Order legalised and translated into Spanish”

However, Mr.B.R.True (the Official Sworn Translator appointed by De Cotta, McKenna and Santafé and certified by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs) stamped the translation which Jon Sutton referred to, on the 11th of August 2005 – fully 6 days after Mr. Sutton’s statement to Mr. Kirwan, the Respondent in the case.

How did Jonathan Paul Sutton, Solicitor and Partner in DeCotta McKenna & Santafé, know the contents of a Sworn Translation 6 days before it was stamped by the Official Translator Mr. B. R. True?

Can You Trust English Lawyers in Spain?

clipper's remarks: Apparently some English lawyers in Spain are not playing by the rules. This is not what the English used to pride themselves on or be known for around the world.
Following the debacle and the disgrace of English MP's should we be surprised at the behaviour of De Cotta Law, Paula Basham of Axar Property and other?
Whether we are surprised or not, they should not be allowed to continue to get away with illegal actions.

Certain English lawyers in Spain are not to be trusted.

It seems that they are willing to flout laws and bamboozle ex-patriots of whatever nationality with their superior knowledge of the law, language and common practices.

International laws become something of a joke when a judge sitting in Hastings in England can pronounce a judgement in a divorce case based on a Spanish property valuation. The valuation was proven false, it was written in Spanish which is a language the judge could neither read, write nor speak. Yet District Judge Pollard was able to do this… how amazing…

Paula Basham is totally refusing to acknowledge or respect the heavy fines imposed on her by the Court in Malaga for her illegal actions.

Anyone might forgive drunken louts behaving in this fashion but the action of these educated and presumably cold sober professionals brings disgrace to the English people and makes it a shame to be known as English.
