Power naps are not similar to normal sleep, so you will not be groggy after taking one. While you might have “dreams”, power naps are more similar to meditation, where thoughts are allowed to move from the sub-conscious mind to the conscious mind and back again without you concentrating on them.

How to Power Nap Effectively:

- Don`t be shame

- Choose a time of the day

- Choose a quiet, location to power nap.

- Collect your equipment

- Eat right

- Turn off the phone.

- Add darkness to your room

- Find some music to listen

- Wake up on time

napping:

Therefore I am calling on all evolutionists to ponder these points of fact and offer us some answers.

Care to tackle this experiment?

Clip Source: www.christiancourier.com

Here is a most interesting problem. How does something come from nothing?

Something cannot come from nothing. But something is. Thus, something always has been. That “Something” that always has been is not “matter” (as demonstrated by the Second Law of Thermodynamics, which implies that matter is not eternal).

How can something non-living produce a living creature? Centuries ago scientists demonstrated that the theory of “spontaneous generation,” i.e., life bursting into existence on its own, is without supporting evidence. Francesco Redi (1626-97) and Louis Pasteur (1822-95), through careful experimentation debunked the notion that life can generate itself.

How did a highly organized, fully integrated body with cooperating parts (and all cells are highly organized; see Jackson, 2000, 6-14) develop from a mass of mere matter?

Rudolf Virchow (1821-1902), a German pathologist, popularized the “cell theory,” namely that “every cell originates from another cell like it.”

Tags: evolution, creation, hypothesis, science, experiment

<clipSource>http://www.christiancourier.com/articles/read/what_do_you_really_know_about_evolution</clipSource>

"Are the Gospels Myth?"

clipped by: Efrain Alvarado

Clip Source: insightscoop.typepad.com

January 11, 49 B.C. is one of the most famous dates in the history
of ancient Rome, even of the ancient world. On that date Julius Caesar
crossed the Rubicon River, committing himself and his followers to
civil war. Few, if any, historians doubt that the event happened. On
the other hand, numerous skeptics claim that the Gospels of Matthew,
Mark, Luke, and John are myth and have no basis in historical fact.
Yet, as historian Paul Merkley pointed out two decades ago in his
article, "The Gospels as Historical Testimony," far less historical
evidence exists for the crossing of the Rubicon than does for the
events depicted in the Gospels:

Merkley observed that those skeptics who either scoff at the historical
reliability of the Gospels or reject them outright as "myth" do so
without much, if any, regard for the nature of history in general and
the contents of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in particular.

Tags: gospel, bible, scriptures, catholic, christianity

<clipSource>http://insightscoop.typepad.com/2004/2008/04/are-the-gospels.html</clipSource>

Senate Democrats Eye Gas Price Relief Bill

clipped by: jatfla
clipper's remarks: So NOW they decide that it's time to do something? Greater numbers of beetles and moths could mean severe and costly losses for farmers and timber producers. There could also be bigger swarms of mosquitoes and other biting bugs, which will mean more discomfort for all of us.The perplexing bat affliction is called white-nose syndrome. Bat biologists have called it the “gravest threat to bats ever known.” Whether its cause is eventually found to be a toxic substance in the environment, a newly emergent infectious disease, lack of food, or something else, it’s clear that this latest blow to bats — and it is only the latest in a long list of injuries — could bring about the regional disappearance of one or more species.

<clipSource>http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2008/04/28/8574/</clipSource>

Religious Books

clipped by: arifsali
clipper's remarks: Not sure how they're doing it, but there are bunch of religious books, all available for pdf download.

The site is clean, but you'll get the Ads when you try to download.

Clip Source: revelation-online.blogspot.com

These days there are futures contracts for everything from wheat to oranges to pork bellies. The futures market is a traditional tool for farmers to sell their harvests ahead of time. In a futures contract, quantities, prices and delivery dates are fixed, sometimes even before crops have been planted. Futures contracts allow farmers and grain wholesalers a measure of protection against adverse weather conditions and excessive price fluctuations. They can also help a farmer plan how much to plant for a given year.

But now speculators are taking advantage of this mechanism.

Tags: society, economy

<clipSource>http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,549187-2,00.html</clipSource>

Environmentalists and Unions Rejoice as UK Runs Out of Gas

clipped by: ColoradoRight
clipper's remarks: Back to walking, peasants.

Clip Source: www.dailymail.co.uk

Petrol stations have started to run dry as thousands of motorists ignored appeals not to panic-buy ahead of a strike this weekend at one of Britain's biggest oil refineries.

A number of filling stations in the Edinburgh area reported severe shortages as queues of cars formed and customers reportedly stockpiled fuel by filling up jerry cans before paying.

There were also reports of petrol stations running out of diesel. The shortages come after a Government minister warned he could not gaurantee that "every garage forecourt would have petrol".

In Glasgow, some garages had imposed limits and several had completely runout of unleaded fuel.

Telemarketers make use of a telescript - a guideline for a telephone

Yes, they're a long way away from the U.S. But most foodstuffs operate in a global market. When the cost of wheat soars in Asia, it will do the same here.

Reality: Food prices are already rising here much faster than the returns you are likely to get from keeping your money in a bank or money-market fund. And there are very good reasons to believe prices on the shelves are about to start rising a lot faster.

The reason? The prices of many underlying raw materials have risen much more quickly still. Wheat prices, for example, have roughly tripled in the past three years.

Tags: economics, food, bad_news, news, opinion, money, international

<clipSource>http://online.wsj.com/article/SB120881517227532621.html?mod=pj_main_hs_coll</clipSource>

Gore busted using fictional footage.

clipped by: willhelm
clipper's remarks: I guess it is appropriate since his work is fiction.

Clip Source: newsbusters.org

On Friday, it was revealed by ABC News that one of the famous shots of supposed Antarctic ice shelves in the film was actually a computer-generated image from the 2004 science fiction blockbuster "The Day After Tomorrow."
