Why do deflationists have it wrong ?

It is that focusing on the deleveraging of the the debt mountain is a red herring, taken on its own then yes it DOES imply deflation as the debt bubble 'should' contract. But given the asset price reaction of 2009 that is NOT what is actually taking place! the Debt bubble is NOT deleveraging, the bad debts are being dumped onto the tax payers! The huge derivatives positions that act as the icebergs under the ocean as compared to the asset price tips that we see above water are not contracting but expanding!

The bankrupt banks have not been allowed to go bankrupt, hence the debt is being systematically transferred to the state which has at its disposal the magic money printing press which can vanish the debt away by means of debt monetization.

BE UNDER NO ILLUSION - The central banks will NOT STOP MONETIZING DEBT ! Once started IT CANNOT BE STOPPED !

Battery made of paper charges up

Batteries made from plain copier paper could make for future energy storage that is truly paper thin.

The approach relies on the use of carbon nanotubes - tiny cylinders of carbon - to collect electric charge.

While small-scale nanotube batteries have been demonstrated before, the plain paper approach lends itself to making larger devices more cheaply.

The work, published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, could lead to "paintable" energy storage.

Because of its structure of millions of tiny, interconnected fibres, paper is a good candidate to hold on to carbon nanotubes, providing a scaffold on which to build devices.

However, paper is also mechanically tough, and can be bent, curled or folded, more than the metal or plastic surfaces that are currently used or under development.

Lynne Stewart...Justice denied!

On Thursday, November 19th, long time civil rights attorney Lynne Stewart was ordered by Judge John G. Koeltl to turn herself in to begin serving a 28-month prison sentence for her 2006 conviction for conspiracy and providing material support to terrorists. This 70 year old woman has devoted her life to the poor, the underprivileged, the black community and to cause of social justice.

Lynne Stewart did not benefit from the US justice system. Her case became important after 911. Let me remind you that her only mistake was to ignore the US Bureau of Prisons Special Administrative Measures (SAMs) she had to sign in order to defend Sheik Omar-Abdel Rahman. The SAMs are unconstitutional and constitue a violation of both the First Amendment and the Sixth Amendment right to legal counsel.

She also warned the other defence lawyers: "This is a warning shot for other lawyers. Don’t advocate for your clients in a vigorous, strong way."

A Professor of Risk Analysis from Harvard University School of Public Health had this to say, �It may surprise you- or sicken you- to know that if your toothbrush is stored near the toilet, the chances are great that it is covered with E.coli bacteria. Each time you flush the toilet, bacteria disperse in the air in the form of tiny particles��. Researchers at Harvard University also believe that chronic infection, such as periodontal disease causes inflammation that often goes unnoticed by patients (internal inflammation is symptomless and is often impossible to detect).

In spite of all the evidence, some people try and fool themselves into thinking that these things aren�t true or that they don�t apply to their toothbrushes. But make no mistake; your toothbrush is like a toilet brush, a bacterial hot-zone filled with all kinds of disgusting germs. You can be sure that allowing these germs to enter your mouth and bloodstream each day is harmful to your long-term health.

H1N1 Vaccine Deaths in Germany: German doctors issued warning about swine flu jab

The German Professional Assocation of Environmental Doctors, (Deutschen Berufsverbands der Umweltmediziner) issued a press release on November 9th warning of the "significant health risks" of using GlaxoSmithKline's Pandemrix

The press release predicted the kind of deaths that are now being reported in Germany as a result of people taking the Pandemrix jab. The BILD newspaper today admitted that at least seven people have died after taking the shot in Germany so far.

The DBU notes out that GSK and pharma companies have been given immunity for any deaths or damage that their vaccines cause by the government leaving patients to bear all the risks.

Giant Lungless "Worm" Found Living on Land

A new amphibian species can survive on land with no nostrils, lungs, or legs, say researchers who discovered the bizarre beast.

The creature, found in Guyana, is part of the wormlike group of amphibians known as caecilians. Only one other caecilian species is known to live without lungs.

Until recently, scientists thought salamanders were the only amphibians that lack lungs. But in 1995 researchers found the first known lungless caecilian, and in 2008 another team reported a tiny, land-dwelling, lungless frog.

The new species is even more of a surprise, because the animal—named Caecilita iwokramae—is strikingly different from the other known lungless caecilian, the study authors note.

Caecilita lives on land and is just 4.4 inches (11 centimeters) long, while its lungless relative is fully aquatic and reaches 27.5 inches (70 centimeters) in length.

Birth of New Species Witnessed by Scientists

On one of the Galapagos islands whose finches shaped the theories of a young Charles Darwin, biologists have witnessed that elusive moment when a single species splits in two.

In many ways, the split followed predictable patterns, requiring a hybrid newcomer who’d already taken baby steps down a new evolutionary path. But playing an unexpected part was chance, and the newcomer singing his own special song.

This miniature evolutionary saga is described in a paper published Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. It’s authored by Peter and Rosemary Grant, a husband-and-wife team who have spent much of the last 36 years studying a group of bird species known collectively as Darwin’s finches.

The picture painted by Russell and Martin is striking indeed. The last common ancestor of all life was not a free-living cell at all, but a porous rock riddled with bubbly iron-sulphur membranes that catalysed primordial biochemical reactions. Powered by hydrogen and proton gradients, this natural flow reactor filled up with organic chemicals, giving rise to proto-life that eventually broke out as the first living cells - not once but twice, giving rise to the bacteria and the archaea.

Many details have yet to be filled in, and it may never be possible to prove beyond any doubt that life evolved by this mechanism. The evidence, however, is growing. This scenario matches the known properties of all life on Earth, is energetically plausible - and returns Mitchell's great theory to its rightful place at the very centre of biology.

H1N1 vaccine has twice the allergic reaction

As Canadian health officials assured the public that the pandemic H1N1 vaccine is as safe as the seasonal flu shot, at least one province is reporting almost double the rate of severe allergic reactions.

British Columbia Centre for Disease Control said it is probing why residents suffered anaphylaxis at a higher rate compared with the previous five seasonal-flu-vaccination programs, suggesting it could be because some people received H1N1 and the seasonal flu shot simultaneously.

It will be several more weeks before B.C. officials can definitively attribute the spike in the rate – 2.2 per 100,000 doses distributed, compared to 1.2 per 100,000 doses. None of the 18 anaphylaxis reactions in B.C. resulted in death.
