Some of these teens have created viable businesses out of their online efforts, such as Chloe Spencer of The Ultimate Neopets Cheats Site and Martina Butler of Emo Girl Talk.

In the working world of adults, however, the number of women in computer-related fields is still very small, with women holding only 27 percent of such jobs. The rooster crowing repeats, getting louder each time. If you sleep through that then it resorts to nastier things like bugles, irish bagpipes, computer tones, explosions, fingers on a chalkboard and a voice telling you to wake up.

Download Links

3. I’m not smart enough.

Even before you fight a war, you have surrendered. By thinking negatively, you have lost half the war.
Although you may have started learning, but half way through, you feel that you are not smart enough and give up halfway.

The truth is that to master a skill, there are many learning curves and obstacles to break through. Maybe you are just a few steps away from mastering the skill.
Think about it, won’t it be a waste to give up halfway?

4. There are many people who are smarter than me.

In terms of learning abilities, these people are more proficient and skillful than you are. Effort is no longer the limiting factor.

Everyone Judges Their Inputs and Outputs – I Think It’s Time To Change the Inputs

I think we need to collectively change what we see as our inputs. Effort should take a backseat to the amount of creativity, relationships or learning we require. So if you want to become a millionaire, you’ll need a certain amount of creativity, connections or understanding to get there.

Thinking Points - Breaking The Effort Delusion

Are you judging your inputs based on ideas, connections and understandings or do you judge them on effort?

Is your first reaction when trying to solve a problem to put more effort in or to step back and build the other three capacities?

Do you get frustrated when your exertions don’t seem to match your results?

The brain has now been found to possess a greater number of glial cells for each neurone, suggesting that Einstein's brain needed and used more energy. As a result it may have generated more processing ability. The job of glial cells is to provide support and protection for neurones.

The density of neurones in Einstein's brain is greater, too, and the cerebral cortex is thinner than the brains to which it was compared.

Einstein's brain also has an unusual pattern of grooves in an area thought to be involved in mathematical skills. It was 15 percent wider than the other brains, suggesting that the combined effect of the differences may be better connections between nerve cells involved in mathematical abilities.

"Einstein's astrocytic processes showed larger sizes and higher numbers of interlaminar terminal masses," say the researchers.

Tags: einstein, brain, cells, neurones, biology

<clipSource>http://www.int.iol.co.za/index.php?from=rss_SciTech&set_id=1&click_id=&art_id=qw1149496202758I531</clipSource>

Characteristics of Critical Thinkers

clipped by: willhelm

Clip Source: www.studygs.net

 Hi, it's Tim from Pandora,

I'm writing today to ask for your help. The survival of Pandora and all of Internet radio is in jeopardy because of a recent decision by the Copyright Royalty Board in Washington, DC to almost triple the licensing fees for Internet radio sites like Pandora. The new royalty rates are irrationally high, more than four times what satellite radio pays and broadcast radio doesn't pay these at all. Left unchanged, these new royalties will kill every Internet radio site, including Pandora.

In response to these new and unfair fees, we have formed the SaveNetRadio Coalition, a group that includes listeners, artists, labels and webcasters. I hope that you will consider joining us.

Please sign our petition urging your Congressional representative to act to save Internet radio: http://capwiz.com/saveinternetradio/issues/alert/?alertid=9631541
