Sonny Bono Accident or Assassination?

New details have surfaced from the fatal ski accident involving Sonny Bono back on January 5, 1998 and investigators believe that the accident may have been staged. Sonny had been given some incriminating evidence just one month before his alleged accident that may have linked the U.S. government to arms and weapons dealers. Investigator Bob Fletcher confessed to sending Bono the evidence that was based on a ten year study. Fletcher claims that, “(Bono) was going to make it his number one priority.”"There’s no doubt in my mind Sonny was murdered by someone who needed him silenced,” Fletcher told the press. Fletcher is not the only person who believes this to be true, Former FBI agent Ted Gunderson also feels that Bono was assassinated and that the accident was staged.

I am so happy there's finally a book out there to teach true Christian values: bigotry is ok as long as it's directed at the right group. For some reason, my kids are not grasping why it is ok to hate people based on traits they were born with and over which they have no control. It's as if there's a natural rejection to conflating faith and politics. Crazy kids. This book is a great help.

Perhaps Ms. Butts can publish a coloring book with Michael's Two Daddies burning for eternity in the fire lake of Hell? I would have to buy my kids more red and orange crayons, but the lesson that homosexuals are lesser humans is worth the expense.

Hillary Clinton's political guru may have been pushed from the top spot in her campaign, but he didn't land in the grave.

Despite embarrassing the White House hopeful by consulting for the Colombian government on a U.S. trade agreement she opposes, Mark Penn remains "very much in the loop," a Clinton source said.

Penn stepped down after Bill and Hillary Clinton learned he was getting paid by Colombia as a consultant and directly expressed their anger to him, sources said.

The campaign said that Penn would keep his role as an adviser and pollster, but most observers took that as a fig leaf to the former First Couple's trusted adviser.

Not so, say friends and critics.

"Reports of Mark's death are greatly exaggerated," said a Penn confidant.

"You don't break a circle like that easily and quickly," a senior Clinton adviser agreed.

Sources said Penn will remain involved in day-to-day matters like conference calls and will even maintain his modest role in preparing Clinton for upcoming debates.

Surprising Political Endorsements By U.S. Troops

ABC's Martha Raddatz asked American soldiers in Iraq what issues are most important to them when looking at the presidential candidates.

Though the military is not supposed to engage in partisan political activity, these soldiers spoke out about their personal endorsements, and their opinions are likely to matter. In 2004, 73 percent of the U.S. military voted for a presidential candidate, and officials believe it may be even higher this time around.

PFC Jeremy Slate said he supported Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., because of his stated intention to pull out of Iraq right away.

"That would be nice," Slate said, "I'd like to be home, yea."

SFC Patricia Keller also expressed support for Obama, citing his representation for change.

Spc. Patrick Nicholls from Eggawam, Mass., pointed out that many soldiers on the frontlines frequently think about their families back home.

Bush biographers mixed on script for Oliver Stone's 'W'

President George W. Bush is a foul-mouthed, reformed drunk obsessed with baseball, Saddam Hussein and a conflicted relationship with his dad. Or at least that's how he's portrayed in the script for Oliver Stone's upcoming feature "W."

But how accurate is that depiction?

Reactions to the script from the biographers were mixed. They said specific scenes are largely based in fact but noted that the screenplay contains inaccurate and over-the-top caricatures of Bush and his inner circle.

"It leaves you with the impression that the White House is run as a fraternity house with no reverence for hierarchy, the office itself or for the implications of policy," said Robert Draper, author of "Dead Certain: The Presidency of George Bush." "Everybody calling everybody else nicknames and chatting about whether to go to war as if they were chatting about how to bet on a football game really misses the mark of how many White Houses, including this one, are run."
