In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, but depending on the service's features, may be saved privately, shared only with specific people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of publicness and privateness. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, via a search engine, or even randomly.

Many social bookmarking services provide web feeds for their lists of bookmarks, including lists organized by tags. This allows subscribers to become aware of new bookmarks as they are saved, shared, and tagged by other users.

Tags: social bookmarking

<clipSource>http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f7/over-500-social-networking-sites-can-3548.html#post19558</clipSource>

US expert’s find will allow humans to ‘play god’

clipped by: qrius2noall

Clip Source: epaper.timesofindia.com

Artificial life born in lab

Gene Expert Builds A Chromosome

what this really means, a quick primer on genetics is called for. Every cell in the human body contains a copy of the genome. Think of the genome as a book — the blueprint — that contains details of what each individual ought to be like. Now, each genome contains 23 chromosomes — if the genome were a book, then think of chromosomes as the chapters in it. And each of these chapters tell several thousand stories, called genes. For instance, the colour of an individual’s skin, eyes and hair, his height, whether he is left or right handed, his IQ, and everything else that matters.

US expert’s find will allow humans to ‘play god’

His claim now is that he and his team of 20 scientists, headed by Nobel laureate Hamilton Smith, have figured the grammar and therefore, how to write in the language. This is the kind of knowledge that will allow him to create life. recently we pulled up at a cliff-top car park to capture the sun setting over a
spectacular scene of islands and ocean. There was another guy there with a
camera so, as guys do, I made conversation about boys' toys by asking what model
he had. It was a Canon EOS 350 SLR, which is quite decent. I commented that I
had a D20, also a Canon SLR. His face hardened as he eyed my camera and clearly
knew that it cost somewhat more than his. 'Well, it's the brains behind the
camera' he muttered as he set up his tripod and remote trigger.

Oops. I realized then I had stumbled into a game of 'my penis is bigger than

chaps further, not the least because I had brought a woman into a place of male
ritual. I was amused too, also knowing that having a wife who is still fun after
