John Conyers Jr. to express his frustrations with the Judiciary Committee chairman’s criticism.

In an interview with The Hill, Conyers said his opinions of Obama’s policies on healthcare reform and the war in Afghanistan have not sat well with the president.

According to the lawmaker, the president picked up the phone several weeks ago to find out why Conyers was “demeaning” him.

Obama’s decision to challenge Conyers highlights a sensitivity to criticism the president has taken on the left. Conyers’s critical remarks, many of which have been reported on the liberal-leaning Huffington Post, appear to have irritated the president, known for his calm demeanor.

Conyers, the second-longest-serving member of the House, said, “[Obama] called me and told me that he heard that I was demeaning him and I had to explain to him that it wasn’t anything personal, it was an honest difference on the issues. Hasan is simply the latest sad case in point.

Maj. Hasan spoke openly (and ignorantly) about how his Muslim faith demanded the severed heads of infidels. He argued against Muslim soldiers killing other Muslims in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He kept counsel with radical imam Anwar al-Awlaki, who had previous contact with two of the 9/11 hijackers.

Investigators speaking on the condition of anonymity told reporters they wanted to investigate Maj. Hasan thoroughly but feared they would be "crucified" if they launched a probe into a Muslim officer communicating with his imam.

Clip Source: www.lvrj.com

So long as American liberals, beginning with President Barack Obama, can't muster the honesty to call the acts of evil by Maj. This administration will say anything, do anything, to deceive the American people that it's insane policies are harmful to our country and taking us deeper into a hole

Clip Source: apnews.myway.com

The government's first accounting of jobs tied to the $787 billion stimulus program claimed more than 30,000 positions paid for with recovery money. But that figure is overstated by least 5,000 jobs, according to an Associated Press review of a sample of stimulus contracts.

The reporting problem could be magnified Friday when a much larger round of reports is expected to show hundreds of thousands of jobs repairing public housing, building schools, repaving highways and keeping teachers on local payrolls.

An early progress report on President Barack Obama's economic recovery plan overstates by thousands the number of jobs created or saved through the stimulus program, a mistake that White House officials promise will be corrected in future reports.

some counts were more than 10 times as high as the actual number of jobs; some jobs credited to the stimulus program were counted two and sometimes more than four times; and other jobs were credited to stimulus spending when none was produced.

Tags: obama is a trojan horse

<clipSource>http://apnews.myway.com/article/20091029/D9BKMVMG0.html</clipSource>

Another Disgusting Photo Op by Obama

clipped by: pkronfield
clipper's remarks: My my, he must have had saluting lessons for this photo op. This is kind of like a Berlin speech during the campaign. While his indecision is causing our troops to be killed in Afghanistan, he can still take time off from his golf game to suit up and practice saluting for a photo opportunity at the arrival of one of our brave soldiers whose death he is responsible for. Obama is truly loathsome.

Clip Source: i.cdn.turner.com

Clip Source: www.cnn.com

The flag-draped cases of at least 18 Americans killed in Afghanistan arrived at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware early today, government and military officials said.
