US-led NATO forces, Pakistani troops and militants have started exchanging fire in Bajaur Agency, tribal areas situated on Pak-Afghan border. The clashes, which claimed the live of dozens of people, have created great terror and fear in the areas. This time the coalition against terrorism is in disarray as NATO forces and Pakistani troops also exchanged firing.

Most of the tribesmen think that this is the beginning of another war, maybe the Third World War as NATO forces, Pakistani troops and militants started attacks on each others postion. Situation in Bajaur Agency is very critical after the exchange of firing by the militants, NATO and Pakistani forces.

Newspapers reports said that Pak–Afghan border has been completely sealed. Unidentified persons attacked Afghan army fort on Wednesday and at least 18 persons including 10 attackers were killed in a retaliatory strike by Afghan army.

The United States has less than 5 percent of the world’s population. But it has almost a quarter of the world’s prisoners. Indeed, the United States leads the world in producing prisoners, a reflection of a relatively recent and now entirely distinctive American approach to crime and punishment. Americans are locked up for crimes — from writing bad checks to using drugs — that would rarely produce prison sentences in other countries. And in particular they are kept incarcerated far longer than prisoners in other nations.

That term "lenient judges" has always struck me as odd. It is one of those expressions like "liberal media" that has found it's way into the language by constant repetition, and now it just rolls off people's tongues and is heard without question.

Poor Michelle Malkin.

When I wrote last year that warbloggers like her would have to find a new Iraq-based media conspiracy to chase in light of how spectacularly their then-beloved controversy surrounding the Associated Press and its allegedly fictitious source, Jamil Hussein, had imploded, I never thought she'd take my advice literally. I was making a rhetorical point.

But lo and behold, she and her press-hating warblogger friends did go chase another media conspiracy out of Iraq. They did target an innocent Iraqi: Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Bilal Hussein. They did lob wild, unsubstantiated allegations against the AP (again). They did reveal their hatred for hard-working journalists trying to cover the extremely dangerous war in Iraq. And they did make collective fools of themselves.

Two colossal, Iraq-based media embarrassments in just over one year. Michelle, you're en fuego! And I'm not even going to mention how you Swift Boated that 12-year-old boy a few months back.

It used to be that just the so-called "Red States" (come to think of it, the Red-Blue thing was pretty stupid) were allergic to facts. But now it's all of us. We just sit here and take it all in, complain about gas prices when oil companies run the White House, wonder why the airlines are collapsing and there is no transportation alternative: It's the stupidity, stupid! While we were sidetracked by John Edwards' haircuts, the oil companies got Congress to destroy Amtrak for them — Bangladesh now has a more efficient passenger rail system than we do. While we sat transfixed by the magnificence of Angelina Jolie's lips and Britney Spears' shaven crotch, Croatia, Latvia and Albania moved ahead of the United States on the global Environmental Sustainability Index. While we munched freedom fries and stockpiled duct tape, our national treasury was looted. And so on.

OK, I'm bitter. I lost my American flag lapel pin while I was rolling gutter balls at the bowling alley. And afterwards they were out of orange juice at the blue-collar diner where I go for my photo opps with "Cup of Joe" Lieberman. Also, I don't own any guns so I can't bitterly cling to them or vent my anger on the few remaining critters within driving distance of the one tank of gas I can afford for my Hummer. And my flag lapel pin ... honey, have you seen my flag lapel pin?! I can't go out in public without the flag lapel pin! That's like streaking!

Gun-running Chinese Scow Turned Away

They had said the weaponry could be used to carry out an even more violent crackdown on Zimbabwe’s political opposition, which is allied with the country’s unionized workers.

“This is a great victory for the trade union movement in particular and civil society in general in putting its foot down and saying we will not allow weapons that could be used to kill and maim our fellow workers and Zimbabweans to be transported across South Africa,” said Patrick Craven, spokesman for the Congress of South African Trade Unions, which represents 1.9 million South African workers.

JOHANNESBURG — A Chinese ship carrying armaments made by a Chinese state-owned company and bound for Zimbabwe has headed back to China without unloading its cargo of bullets and mortar bombs, a spokeswoman for China’s foreign ministry confirmed at a briefing Thursday.

“The Chinese company has already decided to send the military goods back to China in the same vessel, the An Yue Jiang,” the spokeswoman, Jiang Yu, said.

The arms shipment has been a particularly contentious issue in Africa and abroad because of widespread concerns about politically-motivated violence in the wake of disputed elections in Zimbabwe last month.

On Thursday, Anglican church leaders in Britain warned about the deteriorating situation in Zimbabwe and called for international mediation.

One can, at least one one, myself, can. I can believe it in several different ways, depending on the weather. It all depends on definitions.

If God was constrained by Physical Reality, what Jefferson called Natural Law, and if the Mathematics are correct, then God must have used the mechanism of the Big Bang to create any universes He so desired. It's all a matter of definition. A matter of faith. Is the concept "God" greater than mathematics, included in mathematics, outside of mathematics entirely, or subordinate to mathematics ?

Experience proves, sadly, that a person cannot even comprehend any other person completely. You might be chained to the same oar with another person for twenty years and they would still have the capacity to totally astound you. One can even astound one's self, given half a chance and a following wind.

Email harvesting bots, otherwise known as data miners, follow links, grabbing email addresses out of each page it visits. When one of these bots comes to your site, all sites you've linked get crawled for email addresses.

This site renders these harvester's lists useless by filling them with invalid e-mail addresses. Once a spammer hits this site, they enter an infinite loop of randomly created email addresses (starting with the ones it generates when it first comes to the site) Once a mailing list has been poisoned with a number of invalid e-mail addresses, the resources required to send a message to this list increases, even though the number of valid recipients has not. This forces the spammer to exhaust more resources to send e-mail, in theory costing the spammer money and time. A best-case scenario would cause the spammer to throw out the mailing lists completely.
