The first of an occasional series – those benefits of a multi-cultural Britain in full. Let me introduce you all to this human filth.

It could be an anomaly, of course. But it isn’t. The overwhelming majority of street crime, knife crime, gun crime, robbery and crimes of sexual violence in London is carried out by young men from the African-Caribbean community. Of course, in return, we have rap music, goat curry and a far more vibrant and diverse understanding of cultures which were once alien to us. For which, many thanks.

45 Commando captain faces Afghan assault charge

A CAPTAIN from Arbroath-based 45 Commando has appeared at a court martial charged in connection with an assault on an Afghan national.

Cpt Wheelhouse, and Sergeant Mark Leader, of the Commando Training Centre in Lympstone, are alleged to have assaulted a 48-year-old man in Afghanistan in March. They are charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

clipper's remarks: The report by healthcare analysts Dr Foster found that 12 trusts are putting patients at serious risk because of life-threatening errors and 'systemic' safety failings - even though eight of them were praised as 'good' or 'excellent' by the Care Quality Commission health watchdog only last month.

It also found that 27 trusts - a fifth of the total - have unusually high death rates - equating to almost 5,000 excess deaths.

More than half of the 27 are supposedly elite foundation trusts. The joint-tenth-worst, Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, is said by Dr Foster to have a death rate 15 per cent higher than the national average.

Yet its chief executive, Julian Hartley, saw his pay rise by 32 per cent from £125,000 to £165,000 when his trust attained foundation status in December 2007. He has now left to join South Manchester, another of the least-safe trusts on the list.

Three Months Later, Megrahi Lives

It was only 90 days ago that we were told that Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi had only three months to live. Well he lives and breathes today. Officials in Libya last week confirmed that Megrahi had been discharged from Tripoli Medical Centre.

Colonel Gaddafi’s regime has publicly declared its hope that “a miracle from God” would preserve al Megrahi’s life. Guido is ashamed to say that he is a bit more cynical…

clipper's remarks: I cannot agree with some blogs about the causes of so much stress for soldiers, but I wholehearted concur that any compensation is derisory.
Whenever I am almost convinced, some former pongo comes on the TV and tells the world how hard he had it in the Falklands when he never stepped ashore except on a stretcher. What about the views of the other ten thousand or so who walked ashore despite their injuries yet remain silent? And they actually did fight for the islands.
Not that that is my gripe. When I listened to a CSM from 45 Commando tell an audience that the training today is as hard as it ever was I cringed. Whoever allowed the training syllabus to be changed to reflect that of the army ought to be guillotined alongside most Ministers of Defence. So much of the stress factor can be eliminated in training, but Health and Safety has put a kybosh on all that.

Since November 2005 the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has paid 155 mentally traumatised soldiers, who experience delusions, hallucinations, flashbacks and severe depression, an average of just under £6,000, according to official figures. Four others received payments above £9,075.

Sir John Major, the former prime minister, is so concerned by the low payouts that he has written to Gordon Brown to object in what aides describe as “the strongest possible terms”.

PCC to regulate UK bloggers?

Baroness Buscombe, the new chairman of the Press Complaints Commission, has ambitions for her organisation that go beyond the traditional newspaper companies.

She wants to examine the possibility that the PCC's role should be extended to cover the blogosphere, which is becoming an increasing source of breaking news and boasts some of the media's highest-profile commentators, such as the political bloggers Iain Dale and Guido Fawkes. Do readers of such sites, and people mentioned on them, deserve the same rights of redress that the PCC offers in respect of newspapers and their sites?

A pilot study found that 10% of more than 1,000 children tested on admission to hospital had the condition as a result of poor diet or chronic illness.

The pilot was held for a new screening system that has been developed in the city. The tool, believed to be the first of its kind in Europe, can identify children aged from one year who are suffering from malnutrition or are at risk of developing it.

It was created by dietary and medical experts at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill and is based on a simple scoring system.

Doctors say the Paediatric Yorkhill Malnutrition Score (PYMS) could be adapted for use in the community to help identify children at risk of malnutrition or obesity which puts them at risk in later life of cancer, heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

A pilot of 1571 carried out at the hospital showed that 157 were suffering

Fort Hood shooting: Texas army killer linked to September 11 terrorists

Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother's funeral was held there in May that year.

The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

As a former regular soldier I am sick and tired of listening to the cowering comments of those not prepared to defend their wn country. As in Britain, if all these immigrants really want to do something positive for their adopted country, go back to your own country. Enoch Powell warned of this over half a century ago, and was castigated as a prime racist. How right he has been proven.
