Threadsy- Gets my vote for Best Applications of 2009

Managing multiple emails, Twitter Accounts, Facebook and instant messaging contacts has sometimes been a pain. You are forced to login and out of various accounts or install some application that only slow your system down.

Finally, there is a new application that will have some shouting from the mountain tops, hailing this new messiah of apps. It’s not Google Wave(that still has a long road hoe), It’s an application called “Threadsy” and it certainly gets my vote for 2009 application of the year.

Something to Wear, Something to Read, Something you Want and Something you Need(the 4 s's). The gifts can be expensive or inexpensive. I know I can't buy everyone four gifts, but I try to buy 4 for those who are very special in my life. Knowing the 4 S's is the perfect way to help you remember what to get for those special someones. It sure has made my Christmas shopping a lot easier over the years.

My take on Google Wave

If I could describe Google Wave in 2 words I would use the words "Live EMail" . Because basically that is what it is. The beauty of a "live email" is that it eliminates a lot of unnecessary emails you deal with now. Those you communicate with on wave will get your messages instantly. They can even reply live when you are typing. Contacts can even edit what you write. From the business perspective you will be able to collaborate and share information on "real time on projects". People will be able to have access to instant video conferencing to aide in their planning. The wave you help create can be for fun, business or even help solve world problems. The ability to talk live to other nationalities without knowing their language will indeed be priceless. Wave has a great future and will bring the world and it's people a little closer.

The room can also be made public if you wish. The beauty of Savor is that you can create multiple rooms for almost any subject, event, or interest. clipper's remarks: A story on 20/20 about the shelf life of tirest was really an awakening for me. This was something I didn't know. Thanks to the story on 20/20 I can avoid buying a tire that is already 12 years old and is being marketing as new. I plan on buying new tires this week, but you can bet I will be sure to check the date for the first time ever.

They say knowledge is power, but in this case it is also a life saver. Learning to read the inside print on a tire will keep you from making a tragic mistake.

How to Determine a Tire's Age

Aged tires cause accidents everyday

You may think that the age of a tire isn’t a big deal, but consider this. Even if the tire looks brand new, it could be dry rotted.

Decode the Tire Identification Number. The only true way to determine a tire’s age is to decode the Tire Identification Number. This number is a combination of letters and numbers that give information on where the tire was made as well as when it was made. If the tire was made prior to 2000, the last three digits of the number are the date of manufacturing. For example, if the last three digits read 469, the tire was made in the 46th week of 1999. Since 2000, manufacturers have used four numbers. If the last four numbers were to read 3407, you would know that the tire was made in the 34th week of 2007.

Song.ly is simple to use. Just type in the name of the song or the name of the artist and you get instant results. There is a play and tweet button beside each song, which makes it easy for sharing with your friends.

Now if you want songs with videos SongTwit is a great choice for that. SongTwit has the best results for songs with videos, but also of tunes without.

I love how easy it is to drag and drop photos into your Tweets. The "Hot Topics" scrolling hashtags keeps you up on the latest. There is more to this application than Tweet Deck or Seesmic have to offer. I love the way you can easily post 10 photos to Flickrs simply by dragging them to an open space. Twitbabble- The promising new kid in Twittter Apps

clipper's remarks: This is the Latest new entry in online Twitter applications. It's not memory hog. Twitbabble has some pretty neat features, like scheduled tweets and nearby tweeple.

The nearby Tweeple feature is really cool. It gives you the ratings of the Tweeple and their number of Tweets. You see those closest to you first, but you can type in your State and see where you rank. The unload pic and shorten url are nice additions. I'm still kicking the tires.

I suggested to support a few things I would like to see. They need to have a toggle switch to silence the tweets of incoming & out going tweets. A mark as read feature would be nice too. Twitbabble lets you manage multiple twitter accounts. I give it two thumbs up, it is well worth your time to check out.

clipper's remarks: This was a little disturbing, knowing you can auto tweet something from your Twitter Account every 2 minutes. I don't recommend you doing it, especially if you want your friend to keep following you back.

On the wicked side there is a great way to have fun with Spammers or or the Tweeter who as 15,000 followers trying to follow you.

I call the game "Feed my Spammer" and this is how you play:

First create a new Twitter name and began to follow the spammer. Start with a few random Tweets, then turn on the auto tweet, slowly increasing your tweets each day. I doubt you ever make it to the every 2 minute mark, before they block your or report you as a spammer. You get 25 points for a block, 50 points if they hide their updates from, 75 if they report you to @spam and 100 if you make them quit Twitter.

Maybe these spammers will get the message, but if they don't and just block you. It's time to go into extrat innings with them. Create another user name and repeat the p
