KDE 4.9 and Opensuse 10.3

At date 17-19 januari 2008 KDE 4.0 has been launching in Google campus. This Window Manager have been long enough been waited for by Linux lover. Considering success from KDE 3.0.

I also have waited KDE 4.0. Therefore I try for install into Opensuse 10.3 through link Opensuse-Kde.
Installation felt so quickly.
But there is a few/little problem when I change background image. Every I change background image always become to turn white.
New Background will be seen if me 'relogin'.
As a whole running KDE 4.0 in Opensuse 10.3 rather make to confuse. Considering that widget-widget still be difficult to controlled.
I hope there is update for next release. Because moment of this blog I made, KDE 4.0.2. has been release too.

Bonding in Opensuse 10.3

Bonding is method to join 2 or more network card become one logical network.
In opensuse 10.3 procedure to do bonding very easy. So long as all the network card have been recognized better.
Its procedure is - Through Yast -> Network Card
-At tab General set :
Active Device = Never
-At tab Address = No IP address ( for Bonding Devices)
-From Overview -> Add - At Hardware dialogue
Device Type = bond
Bond Slaves = check all network card
Bond Device option = choose mode of bonding the desired ( balance-rr, active-backup, etc)
After setting have Restarted Opensuse linux.

Now your network is ready to use.

Setup Internal Modem on PCLinuxOS

My computer using modem pctel. When I install linux PCLinuxOS is not automatically detect my modem. Them I googling. I got driver on this: http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/pctel-0.9.7-9-rht-7.tar.gz
Then extract that file. Run ./setup on root user.

Now My modem is running.

Note : This is installation can show price if we run from KPPP, based on country. so this can help to estimate how much money we spend.

Webmin error --> Solved

As I blog on Webmin error , a solution is simple:
1. Remove webmin from synaptic.
2. Dowload webmin from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin-1.360-1.noarch.rpm
3. and from konsole run
rpm -U webmin-1.360-1.noarch.rpm
Now Squid is running.
