As the son of the Muslim father, Senator Obama was born a Muslim under Muslim law as it is universally understood.

Of course, as most Americans understand it, Senator Obama is not a Muslim. He chose to become a Christian

None of us chose the religion we are born into. If we want to discuss Obama's religion, then by all means ask why he chose a Marxism-tainted bastardization of Christianity when he was an adult

That simply shouldn't have mattered... until, as Charles Johnson notes, the Obama campaign was caught lying about his never having been a Muslim on his own Web site:

It shows an Obama campaign that has very little faith of the ability of the American people to think for themselves.

Barack Obama may have been born a Muslim, but he chose to become a liar. To most of us, that counts far more against him.

Tags: obama, muslim, christian, religion, politics, lies

<clipSource>http://confederateyankee.mu.nu/archives/262261.php</clipSource>

Vote for best Wright cartoon of the week

clipped by: n2sooners

Clip Source: zardozz.com

Help us select the Best Rev. He flat-out misquoted John McCain in claiming that McCain said he would want 100 years of war, and he recently put out an ad that completely mischaracterized McCain’s view on the economy by cutting out a significant portion where he said that times had gotten tough recently. He's not saying much more than I did before: Jeremiah Wright's "Christianity" isn't really Christianity, it's Farrakhan's Nation of Islam with the serial numbers filed off and "Mohammad" swapped out for "Jesus."

But he's a liberal, so he's allowed to say it. And there's actually a chance someone in the media might consider that obvious point worth pursuing.
