People like Rezko and Auchi, Odinga, Ayers, The New Black Panther Party, La Raza, Farrakhan, and how could we forget the man of the hour, His holiness in hate, the mentor to Barack….Mr. Wright…..now a talk show host in Oregon is bringing up another association that Obama had that should be questioned:

During Obama’s last year on the board of The Woods Fund (2002), he participated in awarding grants, including a $70,000 grant to the Arab American Action Network, a Chicago-based group founded by Rashid and Mona Khalidi.

In another suspected quid pro quo arrangement similar to those with Ayers and Rezko, Rashid Khalidi also held a fundraising event in his home for Barack Obama.

In the Middle East, Rashid Khalidi was known as a man to be reckoned with. From 1972 through 1983, Khalidi was the director in Beirut of the official Palestinian press agency, FAFA. His wife worked there as well.

The Obama Campaign is holding several illegal "Get Out the Muslim Vote" Drives at swing state mosques this week!

Now you can go to Eid Celebrations and sign up to vote for Obama at the same time!!

Muslim Americans for Obama has announced a series of "get out the vote" events at mosques in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and Ohio this week during Ramadan celebrations.

These "get out the vote" events flagrantly violate the tax exempt status of these participating mosques which are strictly prohibited from supporting or endorsing any kind of partisan political activity.

More... Ohio Obama supporters are dragging homeless people off the streets in to vote.

The Iraqi Parliament just banned using mosques during election times

...The law includes a provision that allocates 25 percent of the seats to women and a prohibition on the use of mosques, pictures of clerical leaders and government institutions during the campaign season.

we don't know if the differences between AP-CfK's Sept. 5-10 and Sept. 27-30 results were created deliberately, but the results sure look suspicious

The more recent poll shows Obama with a 7-point lead among likely voters, both with and without leaners; the earlier poll showed McCain with a 5-point lead with leaners, and 4 points without.

Almost all of this 12-point swing (11 points with leaners) is more than likely almost completely due to major differences between the two polls' samples:

"Somehow," the sample make-up changed from 33-31 Democrat to 40-29 Democrat from the earlier to the latter poll -- a shift of nine points.

After correcting for differences in the samples, almost all of Obama's double-digit pickup disappears, leaving McCain with four- and three-point leads without and with leaners, respectively.

Either AP isn't supervising its GfK cooks properly, or it's directing them to poison discussions of presidential race

Ohio Secretary of State Democrat Jennifer Brunner is behind a new rule in the state that allows Ohio citizens to register and vote on the same day.
That law went into effect today.

Jennifer Brunner has also directed county boards of elections to deny absentee ballots to thousands of qualified Ohio electors who support Senator John McCain who fail to check a box that was not mandated by Ohio law.

Later today The Next Right reported that Brunner is banning observers from polling stations!

The Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner argues that they are merely "casting their ballot" rather than "voting" so the fact that Ohio statute requires 30 days between registering and voting would not interfere.

Normally in an election, partisan election monitors are allowed into polling places

Brunner also issued an advisory opinion to counties saying that they are not required to allow election monitors.

What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment

This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights.

Don’t get me wrong - I’m a big fan of Barack Obama,

But after reading his autobiography, I have to say that Barack engages in some serious exaggeration when he describes a job that he held in the mid-1980s. I know because I sat down the hall from him, in the same department, and worked closely with his boss.

I certainly know what he did there, and it bears only a loose resemblance to what he wrote in his book.

First, it wasn’t a consulting house; it was a small company that published newsletters on international business

essentially the job was copyediting

All of Barack’s embellishment serves a larger narrative purpose: to retell the story of the Christ’s temptation

I can’t listen uncritically to Barack Obama now that I know he’s willing to bend the facts to his purpose.

I am not religious, or a card carrying member of the right. I am pro-choice! And, this ad is absolutely devastating.

It makes me think that if McCain-Palin doesn’t fumble, messages like this will peel away layers of previous supporters who will increasingly feel that there has been enough negative info out there about Obama to justify a McCain vote.

There have to be a lot of voters who have already turned on Obama, and just need enough anecdotal evidence to back up their decision when faced with hard core liberals who will vilify America as racist for not electing an African American.

Also, if this continues, I wouldn’t rely on the exit polls. There are going to be a lot of people that are going to walk out of the polling station declaring their vote for Obama. A percentage of them will be lying.

It is funny how they will dismiss anything Rove says because he is eeeevil until he says something they want to hear.

McCain hits 50% in Rasmussen poll for first time

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows John McCain reaching the 50% level of support for the first time since Barack Obama wrapped up the Democratic Presidential Nomination. McCain retains a three-point advantage for the third straight day, 50% to 47%

Voters are evenly divided as to who they think will win, but McCain voters are now more excited about the election than Obama’s. Rasmussen Markets data gives McCain a 52.1 % chance of victory while expectations for Obama are at 46.8 %.

McCain is viewed favorably by 57% of the nation’s voters while Obama earns positive reviews from 53% (see trends). McCain is supported by 90% of Republicans and has a six-point edge among unaffiliated voters. Eighty-two percent (82%) of Democrats say they’ll vote for Obama.

The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows McCain leading in states with 200 Electoral College votes while Obama has the edge in states with 193 votes.

Charles Gibson, who is being credited with stumping Sarah Palin on the definition of the “Bush Doctrine,” has himself defined the nebulous phrase in a variety of ways, including one that mirrored Palin’s disputed explanation.

In 2001, Gibson himself defined it as “a promise that all terrorists organizations with global reach will be found, stopped and defeated.”

But when Palin tried to give a similar definition on Thursday, Gibson corrected her.

The term “Bush Doctrine” was first coined by columnist Charles Krauthammer three months before the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11

“There is no single meaning of the Bush Doctrine,”

“In fact, there have been four distinct meanings

the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today

Gibson should of course have said in the first place what he understood the Bush Doctrine to be

Palin was well within bounds to have asked him to be more specific

the doctrine has no universally acknowledged single meaning

It was a bit of a sham on Gibson’s part

Maybe the DNCC has kept track of the polling this summer and figures the Democratic nominee is officially in distress. That’s the only explanation for a silly gaffe by the convention committee for the graphics on their credentials for those allowed to see Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at Invesco Field. The holographic image uses an American flag motif with the blue field at the bottom, with Obama’s head emerging from it in one of the two alternating images

the Obama campaign says the flag is not upside down. He says it is a stylized flag designed to blend the stars on Senator Obama’s shirt with the flag blowing in the wind.

Yes — a flag blowing upside-down. The DNCC would not even admit they used a flag:

The DNCC community credentials incorporate patriotic design elements. They do not depict an actual American flag.

Blue field …. check. Stars …. check. Alternating white and red stripes …. check. Looks like the flag to me.
