These are difficult, if not impossible, work problems to solve. You need to look out for your best interests. Your job consumes too many hours of too many days of your life for you to stay where you are if you're miserable. No excuses, now. If these problems exist in your current job, make a plan, and quit your job.

Your company is experiencing a downward spiral

Your relationship with your manager is damaged beyond repair

Your life situation has changed.

Your values are at odds with the corporate culture

You've stopped having fun and enjoying your job

Your company is ethically challenged

you have behaved in ways that are considered improper

You've burned your bridges with your coworkers

Your stress level is so high at work that it is affecting your physical or mental health

burnout and if they can't be cured, move on

You are unchallenged

By Susan M. contaminated a lab experiment may be broadly effective against a range of
cancers, U.S. researchers reported on Sunday

The drug, called lodamin, was improved in one of the last experiments
overseen by Dr. Judah Folkman, a cancer researcher who died in January. Folkman
pioneered the idea of angiogenesis therapy -- starving tumors by preventing them
from growing blood supplies.

Lodamin is an angiogenesis inhibitor that Folkman's team has been working to perfect for 20 years. Writing in the journal Nature Biotechnology, his colleagues say they developed a formulation that works as a pill, without side-effects.

Tests in mice showed it worked against a range of tumors, including breast cancer, neuroblastoma, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, brain tumors known as glioblastomas and uterine tumors.

By Maggie Fox, Health and Science Editor

<clipSource>http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSN2936154720080629?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews</clipSource>

The Idea Festival...

clipped by: mugofcoffee
clipper's remarks: very interesting...wish I could participate!

Clip Source: news.bbc.co.uk

Aspen, high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado in what used to be the "Wild Wild West" is perhaps an unlikely setting for a festival of ideas.

But ideas also contributed to this resurgence: this high-altitude setting is also the home of some lofty thinking, hosted by the Aspen Institute - organisers of the Ideas Festival - which brings together politicians, academics, artists and people from the world of commerce for a week-long session of brain-storming and debate.

All of these people have come here with one central conviction. It is that ideas matter and especially so in a presidential election year. Men and women can change the world by thinking about problems and by approaching them in new ways.

You bet there are. These dating rules apply to every relationship, no matter if it's new or long-term, casual or serious.

1. Dating Rule #1: Don't Lose Who You Are

Your first priority in a relationship - no matter what kind of a relationship you are in - is to yourself. To do that, you'll need to love yourself by ensuring you are ready to date before taking the plunge, as well as having a strong sense of self-worth and esteem.

2. Dating Rule #2: Ensure Every Date is Fun

Not only does trying to make your date happy make you feel good, but it is also one of the first signs of attraction. And studies have shown that when taking someone out on a date, the primary way your date will determine the success of the event is how much fun was had.

3. Dating Rule #3: Communicate Well and Clearly

4. Dating Rule #4: Be a Strong Negotiator

5. Dating Rule #5: Nurture Your Relationship

<clipSource>http://dating.about.com/od/rulesetiquette/tp/DatingRules.htm</clipSource>

How to get a job?

clipped by: mugofcoffee
clipper's remarks: Thanks to:
wikiHow - The How-to Manual That You Can Edit

Clip Source: www.wikihow.com

Steps

Network. The best

Don't be too humble or apologetic; tell them what you've been
looking for, but let them know that you're flexible and that if
they have any suggestions, you're open to them. This is not the

Rely on Local Transportation
Choose a travel location that offers local transit, and take advantage of it. Exploring a new city by bus, subway or ferry allows you to see the town as locals see it, and even cuts out the hassle of parking – a bargain for the price of a few bus or subway tokens.

2. Rent a Bike

3. Seek Gas Card Offers

4. Foot It

5. Look for Shuttle Service
Staying at a big-name hotel? Check to see if they offer a complimentary shuttle service. This will allow you to skip driving all together, and net you a free tour guide – not a bad deal, indeed.

6. Choose an All-In-One Destination
Resorts and other all-in-one destinations completely erase the need for transportation once you arrive. Choose one of these vacation spots, and you'll have easy access to food, entertainment and everything else that you'd need to make your trip enjoyable.

<clipSource>http://frugalliving.about.com/od/affordabletransportation/tp/Save_Gas.htm</clipSource>

Daily aspirin in middle-age call...

clipped by: mugofcoffee

Clip Source: news.bbc.co.uk

Men and women over a certain age should take aspirin daily to prevent heart attacks, experts say in Heart journal.

Nottingham and Sheffield universities' analysis of almost 12,000 patients found men from the age of 48 and women from 57 would benefit from the drug.

Heart attacks occur when a blood vessel is blocked by a clot, but aspirin makes it harder for blood clots to form.

The British Heart Foundation said more research was needed before "blanket prescribing" could be recommended.

Under existing recommendations, a GP will prescribe the drug if a person has already suffered a heart attack or a stroke.

It is also prescribed if factors such as high blood pressure put a patient at high risk of having such an "event" in the next few years.

But the researchers said, in reality, many people are not treated.

Some have speculated it may be easier to treat everyone over a specific age threshold such as 50 years.

family spends its time. We have found that it is still possible to have fun without spending a ton of money. For instance, we still go out to eat as a family, but we do it less often and are choosier about where we go. We try to get the most bang for the buck. We have also found that our daughters enjoy less expensive vacations like camping or just going to a decent hotel with a pool as much as they might enjoy something like a theme park

A budget is a plan and not something written in stone

I have learned that a budget has to be flexible. Life happens. A budget needs to adapt to life.

We don’t want to be ultra-frugal forever

<clipSource>http://mysuperchargedlife.com/blog/things-i-learned-living-on-a-budget-part-3/</clipSource>

Things I Learned Living on a Budget...

clipped by: Some people are going broke to avoid living on a budget. They hate the thought of a budget so much that they will do practically anything to get out of it. The problems our state and federal governments have with budgets is well publicized and probably just a symptom of our cultural aversion toward budgets. The idea of creating a budget has caused many marital fights and probably even some divorces. When my wife initially suggested that we create a budget after she read one of Dave Ramsey’s books, I admit that I was less than enthusiastic. However, after living on a budget now for almost two years, I can honestly say that I like it. It has taught me a lot so, I thought I’d share some of what I’ve learned in the hopes that it will help you.

I learned that true wealth is possible.

I learned that a budget is an instrument of freedom.

I learned that simpler is often better.

Clip Source: mysuperchargedlife.com

Unfortunately, most often it happens without a plan. We stash something where there's an empty spot, then pile something else on top of it, and so on, until one day we've forgotten where we put any of it. And, in the meantime, the pile has grown big enough to cause problems of its own.

One reason we create such visible messes with our haphazard, unplanned storage habits is that we fail to consider the large, and largely empty, spaces that exist around the house. The first step in planned storage, therefore, is to inventory the potential storage spaces that surround you. Let's start at the top.

1.
