JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert admitted on Thursday taking cash from a U.S. businessman but resisted calls to resign over a police investigation into alleged hefty bribes over almost a decade.

As Israelis enjoyed festivities marking Independence Day and the 60th anniversary of the founding of their state, police lifted a week-old media gag order and announced details of accusations that sparked opposition calls for Olmert to quit.

He said he would resign only if he were formally indicted.

Whether he goes or not, doubt over his future is likely to upset his faltering, U.S.-sponsored peace negotiations with the Palestinians and will cast a heavy cloud over next week's celebratory visit to Israel by U.S. President George W. Bush.

Israelis are no strangers to tales of corruption at the top in the Middle East's most feted democracy and the latest case may fuel calls for an overhaul of political funding rules.

Life is being able to say what we want to say to someone we love, without worrying about the consequences of what we had said!

Life is to be able to find someone who shall be ready to accept us as what we are and not what they want us to become!

Life is meant to forgive people for their misdeeds

not because they deserve it but because we deserve it!

No more days and weeks of having to go through the birth pangs of the words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs and of the pages! No more errors and corrections. No more going back on one of my old written pieces and feel the feeling of “I could have done better here”...

I had constructed a steel enforced cage around my heart!

I had locked my heart to the trees, plants, leaves, the buds and the flowers so that I won't be tempted to start writing about them!

I had stopped the entry of the birds, the animals, the jungles and the forests into my loving nature! No more of being soft and sweet, nice and easy, happy and getting inspired by all things of the Mother Nature!

I had ruthlessly closed my eyes to the cool and the colorful oceans, the hot and the landscaped deserts, the mighty and the challenging mountains!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush called for $770 million in new U.S. food aid donations and other measures on Thursday as Washington seeks to stave off a food crisis threatening to envelop the developing world.

Bush, expressing concern as skyrocketing world food prices intensify unrest in poor countries from Haiti to Burkina Faso, promised the United States would take a lead in fighting the hunger now gripping a greater swath of the developing world

Administration officials said the $770 million would include $395 million in emergency food aid, $225 million for food vouchers, seeds, or aid purchases in the developing world, and $150 million for development work aimed at food security.

That will help "improve the ability of the developing world to feed itself," said Stephen McMillin, a top budget official.

I shall choose to be happy, come whatever may, today! The life is so precious that I wouldn’t waste a moment in self-pity, unhappiness, depression and anxieties in handling the people and the circumstances.

I had gone through the deep down struggle against the “five more minutes” request from my heart a plenty of time and the will power I needed to gear up against such a fine temptation of falling asleep again

Will the Sun be smiling at the oceans, while sharing a joke with the clouds? Will he rather be taking a walk on the side streets of the sky?

I had smiled at the Sun and had smiled to myself. I had walked a bit further on and by the time, the Sun had emerged completely out of his habitat and had started scrolling along the sky, I returned back to my home, my heart getting fully soaked in the nectar of happiness, positivism, possibilities and the brand new opportunities of a brand new day!

Why things should always be treated as difficult, impossible, unachievable and hopeless? Why can’t we try to do things in a more positive way?

Instead of saying that, “I don't think so” or “impossible situation” or “difficult task” etc. we may try by saying, “Why don't we try to do things in a different way?” “How about giving it a shot?” “Why not?” and “let's make an attempt at least!”

By inserting the seed of positivity, we are trying to bring in the “possibility” factor to the job in our hand. Who knows, we may end up in completing the job as well!

However, nothing is going to change our situations, neither by being negative nor by being positive, and hence, why can't we be positive?

There is something wonderful in being positive under all the circumstances.

It provides the moral courage to our character. It helps us to pull up our socks and start trying to do things in a different light.

It encourages us to get out of the situation by means of finding the solutions amicably

Then I saw him! A lovely little bird, with a body of maroon color and velvety dark blue feathers: the feathers had opened up in frills and were looking incredibly beautiful and lovely!

The bird's feathers were fluttering hard even in his sitting position, as though at the speed of a couple of hundred times a minute! I was fascinated by his looks, by his silky feathers, by his ever-roving neck and eyes and by his small built and lightweight body! He was so little that I wanted to take him in my cupped hands and keep him protected from the wild world!

It was sort of mesmerizing, like the opening song in the Opera! It was sort of creative, like the Mona Lisa of Leo Nardo Da Vinci! It was sort of spectacular, like the crackers in the sky on your independence day and was a sort of ecstatic, like being with some one you love so much!

t had finally dawned on me that I had captured the picture of the bird with all his minute details, in my heart of hearts!

I had finally captured the moments!
