According to the U.S. military, Abdullah al-Ajmi was one of three men responsible for the deaths of seven members of Iraqi's security force. Last week, it was <A target="1" href="http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=XV0yAp0i4YywxEOB9%2FUCbR51u5eZrD5d">reported for the first time</A> that al-Ajmi had been formerly imprisoned at Guantánamo Bay. He was held for three years. Upon his release in Kuwait, he got married and had a child. But on April 26th, he strapped himself with explosives and blew himself up.</P></div></div><hr size="2" color="#666666" /><div style="padding: 10px;"><div style="text-align:left;"><P>As Guantanamo expert Andy Worthington recently <A target="1" href="http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=BneEDGAd7dqYePjcvF1J6x51u5eZrD5d">wrote</A>, al-Ajmi "recorded a martyrdom tape before his mission, which was translated by the US-based SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors jihadist websites. On the audiotape, al-Ajmi apparently condemned conditions at Guantánamo as 'deplorable,' and stated, 'Whoever can join them and execute a suicide operation, let him do so.'"
