After several delays, Mozilla was finally able to roll out Firefox 2.0.0.2 and 1.5.0.10 today.

The release of Firefox 2.0.0.2 is a pretty big one with 158 bugs being squashed: 21 fixed crashing issues, 4 fixed privacy bugs, and 2 fixed memory leaks. Not only that but Vista users will recognize a huge difference in the way that Firefox handles itself.

Vista-related bugs that were fixed:

* Automatic Updates now works with users who have limited account privilege and User Account Control (UAC) enabled.
* Uses the Vista Default Application API which means Firefox should now be able to set itself as the default browser without having to be run as an administrator.

* Before Firefox would remain elevated (a.k.a. running as an administrator) after an update was performed, but that has been fixed.

So get the latest versions right now.

I love the iPod but not everyone loves iTunes. It’s not that iTunes is a bad application, but it does limit what you can do with your iPod.

Firts you need to enable your iPod as a portable hard drive. Once you’ve got that done, you’re ready to full up your iPod.
Sync music and movies with Floola:

Floola is a freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod or your Motorola mobile phone (any model supporting iTunes).

It can be run directly from your ipod and needs no installation under Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

Floola supports all most common used features including podcasts!

TIME = MONEY
Keyboard shortcuts are a good way to save time. Instead of trying to find a menu, a button, or an option, you just type a combination of keys. The only problem is that you have the remember the shortcuts.

Here is the list of shortcuts that will make your life easier in Google Reader:

Keystroke	Action	Definition
j	next	view the next item in your reading list
k	prev	view the previous item
n	scan down	scroll to the next item without viewing it
p	scan up	scroll to the previous item without viewing it
shift n	page down	scroll down by one screen of items
shift p	page up	scroll up by one screen of items
o or <Enter>	view item	view the selected item
h	top	go to the top of your reading list
r	refresh	refresh your reading list
s	star	star the current item
l	label	jump to the form for labeling the current item
v	show original	open original item in a new window
g then h	home	loads your home (reading list) items
g then s	starred	loads your starred items
g then u	edit subscriptions	loads your subscriptions and labels
g then r	read items	loads your read items
g then l	label selector	lets you type in a label and then loads it

One way to remember them is to print the shortcuts and start exercising. Another way is to understand their meaning and use them naturally.

Apple has never been a big player of the gaming industry.

Over the time they’ve tryied to transform the iPod in an all-in-one media device.

The consumer electronics maker is rolling out games for the ipod and is in talks with EA about games for the forthcoming iphone.

It recently introduced a lineup of 11 game titles for its fifth-generation video iPod. The games are available for download on iTunes for $4.99 each.

Most of the titles have lush graphics and multiple game-play options and work intuitively with the iPod’s scroll wheel.

“Since the iPod goes with you in your pocket wherever you are, we saw a great opportunity to provide some fun casual entertainment,” says Stan Ng, senior director of iPod Product Marketing. “We picked games people can pick up and play while they’re waiting in line at the grocery store or sitting on the bus.”

Game list: Bejeweled, Tetris, PAC-MAN, Vortex, Zuma, Texas Hold ’Em, Mini Golf, Mahjong, Cubis 2, Royal Solitaire, Sudoku

Maybe the greatest advantage of the iPod is that you can listen to your favorite song while playing Zuma.

The beautiful and popular service from google for domains that is used by many small businesses might start charging organizations a small subscription fee.

Google Apps for Your Domain lets you offer private-labeled email, instant messaging and calendar accounts to all of your users, so they can share ideas and work more effectively. These services are all unified by the start page, a unique, dynamic page where your users can preview their inboxes and calendars, browse content and links that you choose, search the web, and further customize the page to their liking. You can also design and publish web pages for your domain.

It’s all free and everything is hosted by Google. No hardware or software required.

According to Business Week, Google will soon add Google Docs and Spreadsheet into the list of service provided by them.

The only good competitor Google has in this area is Microsoft with it’s package called Office Live.

All those who have subscribed to Google Apps during its initial beta phase will continue to get it for free, even after the beta period.

Google on Wednesday said its Gmail service is now open to anyone who wants an account. Previously the service, which provides users with 2.8GB of e-mail storage space, has been by invitation only.

Gmail is now a public beta. Go to Gmail.com, and look for “Sign up for Gmail” or go to this page. After almost three years of invitation-only access, Gmail gradually opened in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Egypt and now everywhere.

Even if Yahoo’s mail service is more popular than Gmail, I still find Google GMail to be the most efficient webmail experience.

There are plenty of software which lock your folders, some are free, other costs a lot of money. Why you’ll waste time and money when you could do it with your notepad.

* Consider you want to lock a folder named PICS in your D:\, whose path is D:\PICS

* Now open the Notepad and type the following

ren pics pics.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

* Where pics is your folder name. Save the text file as loc.bat in the same drive.
* Open another new notepad text file and type the following

ren pics.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} pics

* Save the text file as key.bat in the same drive.

Usage:

* To lock the pics folder, simply click the loc.bat and it will transform into control panel icon which is inaccessible.
* To unlock the folder click the key.bat file. Thus the folder will be unlocked and the contents are accessible.

That’s all.

Basically you have two options:

1 - Track the number of links to the Page on which the badge is placed .

2 - Select the size of badge you would like to place on your web site.

World’s Thinnest Waterproof Mobile Phone by Fujitsu

Fujitsu of Japan unveiled the world’s thinnest waterproof phone measuring just 17.9m, (.7-inch) thick!

The Fujitsu F703i can be submersed in 3 feet (1 meter) under water for 30 minutes.

Features include a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT display, multiple fruity colors, microSD for adding more storage (music files for example), a 1.3-megapixel camera and a 0.1-megapixel video camera for video calls. Oh yeah, and it’s totally waterproof.

Available in white, pink, and black colors and will ship next month through NTT DoCoMo in Japan.

Too bad us won’t be seeing it anytime soon but maybe it will be available in summer when we’ll take it for a bath.

Performancing Partners Advertising Network is Closing

This is another big announcement over Performancing’s blog today.

Chris Garrett, has announced that they are closing Performancing Partners down.

Reasons: server problems (which caused some of their publishers sites not to load), registration of Nick Willson as Ceo, the calling off of a sale of Performancing to PayPerPost and the ending of their metrics program.

What’s left?

The blog ( which was one of the best), the forum and they still have their firefox plugin (although they’ve rebranded that).
