Ah, vanity.

Clip Source: www.digitalcamerau.com

Step 1

If you are standing - turn slightly and rest your weight on one foot. It may FEEL goofy, but you WILL look better.

If you are sitting – angle to one side or the other.

Step 2

Lean slightly toward the camera – Leaning slightly toward the camera adds interest, dimension, and a natural look to a photo. Think of having a long neck like a gazelle, and tilt your chin down just a bit to avoid the appearance of a double chin and also to prevent the camera from getting a view right up your nostrils.

Step 3

Models are taught to change state by developing a ‘trigger.’ So when they are about to have their picture taken, even if they are in a crummy mood, they can go from level 1 to level 5 in a heart beat. Firing a trigger is a reminder to do the things that make you look good. Believe it or not, THE most successful trigger we found over the years was called the ‘rear cheek squeeze.’ It’s really cool because it’s inconspicuous. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like; you squeeze the cheeks of your rear end together. Don’t make fun of it until you try it. To see it’s effectiveness try this experiment. Ask someone to sit on a chair and then ask them to squeeze their cheeks together. I have not met ONE person who doesn’t immediately smile and say something like, okay, now what?

Step 4

Learn to ¾ smile – People just don’t like pictures of themselves with huge smiles. Smiling too big exposes gums and causes your eyes to turn into slits.

Step 5

Never look directly at the lens – ALWAYS, look slightly ABOVE the lens.

Tags: tips, photo, howto

<clipSource>http://www.digitalcamerau.com/2006/08/10/5-steps-to-being-more-photogenic/</clipSource>

The Boy With The Incredible Brain

clipped by: taksmaster

Clip Source: video.google.com

This is the breathtaking story of Daniel Tammet. href="http://clipmarks.com/clipper/jakalack/">jakalack
clipper's remarks: A neat little way to see who sent you what e-mail. This could be useful for figuring out who is selling your email address to spamers

Clip Source: www.hedir.com

When you give your email address to a website, you hope that they don't sell or trade your address to a bunch of spammers. Well if they do, here is a simple way to see what sites are responsible for what particular piece of email. This requires you have a Gmail account.

If your Gmail login name was username@gmail.com and you went to samplesite.com to fill out a registration form, instead of just entering username@gmail.com as your email, enter it as username+samplesitecom@gmail.com instead. When Gmail sees a "+" in an email address, it uses all the characters to the left of the plus sign to know who to send it to. In this example it would still send it to username@gmail.com.

Now whats cool is if you search Gmail for username+samplesitecom, you will see all massages that were sent to that email address.

To see who is responsible for sending a specific message click the Show Details link and you will see the complete address.

Neat!
_________________
Please review my site Thanks!

Tags: gmail spam

<clipSource>http://www.hedir.com/introduction/about17942.html</clipSource>

100 reviewed places to watch free movies online

clipped by: rko2007
clipper's remarks: A nice collections

Clip Source: www.solomonrothman.com

Ways to Increase Your Brain Power

        1. Breath deep. More air in means more oxygen in the blood and therefore
in the brain. Breath through your nose and you'll notice that you use
your diaphragm more, drawing air deeper into your lungs. Several deep
breaths can also help to relax you, which is conducive to clearer thinking.

        2. Meditate. A simple meditation you can do right now is just closing
your eyes and paying attention to your breath. Tensing up your muscles
and then relaxing them to start may help. When your mind wanders, just
bring your attention back to your breath. Five or ten minutes of this
will usually relax you, clear your mind, and leave you more ready for
any mental task. For more on meditation, you can visit http://www.TheMeditationSite.com.

        3. Sit up straight. Posture affects your thinking process. Prove it to
yourself by doing math in your head while slouching, looking at the floor
and letting your mouth hang open. Then do the mental math while sitting
up straight, keeping your mouth closed and looking forward or slightly
upwards. You'll notice that it's easier to think with the latter posture.

        4. Phosphotidyl Serine (PS). This supplement has been shown in clinical
studies to increase lucidity and rate of learning. It activates cell-to-cell
communication, helps regulate cell growth, improves the functioning of
the special receptors found on cells, and prepares cells for activity.
In other words, it can help your brain power. It's also thought to reverse
memory decline. Phosphatidylserine has no known adverse side effects.

5.Vinpocetine. This extract, derived from an alkaloid found in the Periwinkle
plant, is used as a cerebral vasodilator. It increases blood flow to the
brain, which improves its oxygenation and thereby increases mental alertness
and acuity. Research suggests it may also be the most powerful memory
        enhancer available to date.

Tags: brain

<clipSource>http://www.mindpowernews.com/BrainPower.htm</clipSource>

Fifty Tools which can help you in Writing

clipped by: HoneyTown

Clip Source: www.lifehack.org

Center a cd, which you’ll be using as a guide, at the top of a sheet of paper, as shown.

2. Fold in sides of paper to sides of cd.

3. Center cd at the middle of the folded paper.

4. Fold bottom up.

5. Fold the horizontal creases, which I’ve identified in red, to sides as indicated by arrows, so the creases are even with sides of original folded sides. (I’ve identified the creases in question with dashed lines for illustration.)

6. You'll have a box-shape sticking up toward you after making the folds in step 5. Just fold this flap down flat as shown below.

7. Tuck the "ears" that are sticking out to the sides in between the original side folds and the fold created in step 4.

8. Slip cd into front pocket and fold down top half of paper.

9. Dog-ear the top two corners of the top half of paper.

10. Slip top half of paper into pocket.

For a personal touch, print labels and photos on the front center of paper to give your cd holder some pizzazz. A picture from a trip of a lifetime or a friend’s favorite tunes.

Print the name of that book you wrote or are working on. Any paper, of course, will do including postal wrap, grocery bags or something of the decorative variety. A sheet of heavier-weight wrapping paper with a printed label makes a great way to store and share holiday pictures.

In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of
triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the
pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size,
they died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started
to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The
veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a
depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate
another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing
news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to
the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that
had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one
species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans"
that could be found quickly, were a litter of weaner pigs. The zoo
keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the
babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops??
Take a look........ you won't believe your eyes!!

NoteTab Light — Free Version — I built this web site with this program (every single incarnation of this site, including the current version, stylesheets and all).
Go to the NoteTab website.

Sonar — Free (donations accepted) — Created by the creator of yWriter, this handy program tracks submissions better than a spreadsheet.
Go to the Sonar website.

EverNote — Freeware — EverNote is a fantastic notekeeping program that makes keeping up with notes and research for multiple projects an absolute breeze. Highly recommended for all writers. More of my comments on Evernote.

WordWeb — Free Version — WordWeb is a thesaurus and dictionary that can integrate with other programs or run as a standalone program.
Go to the WordWeb website.

RoughDraft — Freeware — RoughDraft is an easy to use word processing program created specifically for writers with features that meet a writer's unique needs.

TreePad Lite — Freeware — Great for notes, detailed lists, character and scene sketches, or just anything at all. I've created a story note organizer for TreePad. It's a simple document in the TreePad format that can be used as a template to help you organize all those documents that invariably accumulate as you work on your most recent novel(s). It also lets you keep track of submissions and rejections. Download my template story_note_organizer.hjt (right click and choose "save target as" or "save link as").
Go to the TreePad website.

The average male orgasm lasts 6 seconds. Women get 23 seconds. Which means if women were really interested in equality, they'd make sure we have four orgasms for every one of theirs.

5. The oldest known species with a penis is a hard-shelled sea creature called Colymbosathon ecplecticos. That's Greek for "amazing swimmer with large penis." Which officially supplants Buck Naked as the best porn name, ever.

7. Only one man in 400 is flexible enough to give himself oral pleasure. It's estimated, however, that all 400 have given it their best shot at some point.

10. German researchers say the average intercourse lasts 2 minutes, 50 seconds, yet women perceive it as lasting 5 minutes, 30 seconds. Are we that good or that bad?

12. The penis that's been enjoyed by the most women could be that of King Fatefehi of Tonga, who supposedly deflowered 37,800 women between the years 1770 and 1784 — that's about seven virgins a day. Go ahead, say it: It's good to be king.

13. Better-looking men may have stronger sperm. Spanish researchers showed women photos of guys who had good, average, and lousy sperm — and told them to pick the handsomest men. The women chose the best sperm producers most often.

14. No brain is necessary for ejaculation. That order comes from the spinal cord. Finding a living vessel for said ejaculation, however, takes hours of careful thought and, often, considerable amounts of alcohol.

15. The most common cause of penile rupture: vigorous masturbation. Some risks are just worth taking.

Tags: penis, humor, funny, health

<clipSource>http://health.msn.com/centers/mensexualhealth/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=100141786</clipSource>
