Human is intellectually superior to God?!

clipped by: syncopath
clipper's remarks: end of excerption:
If god was truly conscious, and act as we might expect a human to, then he would put an end to the imbalance of justice--he would act morally. "But," Jung suggests, "he is too unconscious to be moral."

Clip Source: www.religiousworlds.com

Notes on

Answer to Job

In light of this close personal relationship, it is only expected that there be a covenant between god and his

chosen, which extended to certain individuals--e.g., David. (Quote from the 89th Psalm 532f) In this covenant God

claimed that he will not break his word, yet we know he did so--and several times. To modern, Christian individuals,

Jung notes, this lackluster performance would be devastating as we expect that god is superior to us.

Because anything else would put him in risk of his life, Jung

notes, the human must recourse to reason. "In this way," Jung writes, "without knowing it or wanting

it, he shows himself superior to his divine partner both intellectually and morally."

	Jung

make a summary psychological statement about the character of god (534). God is such an

individual who believes that he exists only through his relation to an object. Jung claims that such dependence is

absolute when the subject lacks self-reflection and thus no insight into himself.

Clip Source: www.search.com

Tags: jung, psychoanalyzes of god, answer to job, self-reflection

<clipSource>http://www.religiousworlds.com/fondarosa/jung04.html</clipSource>

Buddha quotes

clipped by: Ashes2Ashes

Clip Source: coolquiz.com

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought."
- Buddha (c. - 483 BC)

"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
- Buddha (c. - 483 BC)

"He is able who thinks he is able."
- Buddha (c. - 483 BC)

"To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as one's own in the midst of abundance."
- Buddha (c. - 483 BC)

"We are what we think. The clip starts with the question: “Are you ready for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ? The greatest prophecy in the bible is not far from fulfillment!” I guess they had a very flexible definition of “not far”.
It then describes the terrible problems we heathens will face when the rapture occurs… massive train crashes, walking zombies and… gasp… no milk deliveries! (hey, hang on, that last one has already happened!). Perhaps the worst consequence is that housework will remain undone because Christian maids have been taken to Heaven. WTF?
