For reasons unknown, ING Vysya believes that I have a spouse who I should immediately, but positively before the end of the day, go with to their office on Cunningham Road and collect a 3-night vacation-in-Goa package. In case my hypothetical spouse and I decide not to vacation for 3-nights in Goa, I can get an accident insurance in lieu.

To my response that “I cannot find a spouse by the end of the day,” the caller said, “Sir. Please don’t feel bad about it…But, are you sure that you don’t want this gift?”

Seriously! This is heights of tele-marketing.

Bill Gates signals end of computer mouse era

London (PTI): Microsoft is developing a system that could spell the end the use of computer mouse, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates has said.

"The way you interact with the system will change dramatically," the billionaire said at a conference in Canada, according to a report in The Daily Telegraph on Friday.

He said that computer users of the future will control their machines by voice and pen as well as touch.

Users of Windows 7 will issue commands by touching the screen rather than by the traditional keyboard and mouse combination that has dominated since the 1970s.

Windows 7 is due to be released in 2010 and is Microsoft's attempt to catch up with Apple, whose touch screen iPhone has proved popular.

Touch screens are appearing on a host of other devices, including sat-navs, mobile phones and remote controls. A touch screen BlackBerry is expected shortly.

Soon, mobile phones could be used as 'surrogate debit cards'

London, Apr 8 (ANI): Your mobile phone lets you stay connected to your loved ones, take snapshots wherever you want, listen to your favourite tunes and even surf the Internet. Now, the same wireless is going to offer you more by getting transformed into a debit card.

Hailed as a key development since the advent of the credit card, mobiles could soon be used as "surrogate debit cards" if a Dutch scheme is brought to the UK.

The Netherlands project allows customers to link their mobile phones directly to their bank accounts and use the phones at supermarket checkouts as if they were Switch or Maestro cards.

On the rear of this hood are two circular ocelli patterns connected by a curved line, evoking the image of spectacles.

An average cobra is about 1 meter in length and rarely as long as 2 meters (6 feet). The spectacle pattern on the hood is very variable as also the ground colour of the snake.

Symptoms of cobra (venom) envenomation can begin from 15 minutes to two hours after the bite, and can be fatal in less than an hour.

The Indian Cobra is one of the Big four (most dangerous venomous snakes of India) and a polyvalent serum[Anti Venom] is available for treating snakebites by these snakes.

Despite its fearsome reputation, only 10% of the bites in humans result in death.

[When you see one, please do not kill them, or allow anyone to harm them! please call the forest department, and get their instructions to help these creatures!]
