The more dissimilar you and your partner’s chemical makeup, the better chance you will have at successfully procreating and staying together.

So how can you create the scent which will keep you and your partner in the land of happily ever after? Unfortunately, you can’t. Perfumes and colognes can’t fool Nerve “O” — the scents which humans and animals are attracted to are intangible and instinctive. Even the most expensive designer perfume can’t fool Mother Nature. When it comes to sexual attraction, it seems you really have to leave things in the air!

Clip Source: www.msnbc.msn.com

Scientists discover secret sex nerve

Looking for a perfect match? Research says to follow your nose

What makes us fall in love? Is it lust, mutual interests, shared life goals, or something much more intangible?

Researchers have only recently discovered an olfactory nerve which they believe is the route through which pheromones are processed.

Nerve “O” has endings in the nasal cavity, but the fibers go directly to the sexual regions of the brain. Indeed, these endings entirely bypass the olfactory cortex! Hence we know the role of Nerve “O” is not to consciously smell, but to identify sexual cues from our potential partners.

we are more likely to be attracted to people whose scent is dissimilar to our own. Family members often share similar chemicals, so our attraction to differing chemical makeup suggest that sexual cues evolved to protect close family members from procreating together.

Research has

shown that these unconscious cues processed in Nerve “O” can make or break a relationship.

<clipSource>http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23781652/</clipSource>

the cables under the ocean

clipped by: ladalooop88845

Clip Source: image.guardian.co.uk

<clipSource>http://image.guardian.co.uk/sys-images/Technology/Pix/pictures/2008/02/01/SeaCableHi.jpg</clipSource>

Mississippi will ban fat people from eating in public

clipped by: ladalooop88845
clipper's remarks: idk if this would be a good or a bad thing?? i'm still debating between the two

Clip Source: jezebel.com

The Mississippi State House is proposing a law that would ban restaurants from serving people with a BMI higher than 30. On one hand, of course, you could say that's no worse than laws preventing bartenders from serving another shot of whiskey to that guy who just chipped a tooth falling off his stool. On the other hand, of course, an obese person is not going to use the opportunity afforded by an unnecessary plate of chicken and dumplings to pinch the ass of the waitress, puke in the bathroom sink, take a piss next to your dumpster and ram into an oncoming car on the way home, so there's really not much of a comparison. More seriously though, would it work? Wouldn't the nation's fat people, faces hot with the shame of being weighed publicly on a scale outside the Outback Steakhouse, simply drive straight to the nearest convenience store and pick up a few pints of Karamel Sutra to cool off? Aren't our seriously fat citizens too poor to indulge in that much Panera bread anyway?

<clipSource>http://jezebel.com/351622/mississippi-to-ban-fat-people-from-eating-in-public</clipSource>

Awesome video-Time stops at Grand Central Station

clipped by: ladalooop88845
clipper's remarks: that would've been really neat to see or be a part of.

Clip Source: current.com

<clipSource>http://current.com/items/88830919_time_stops_at_grand_central</clipSource>

Pictures drawn with a ballpoint pen

clipped by: ladalooop88845
clipper's remarks: these are amazing!!!

Clip Source: www.dailymail.co.uk

Simply birolliant - the incredible 10ft 'photographs' drawn with a ballpoint pen

<clipSource>http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=511688&in_page_id=1770&ito=newsnow</clipSource>

ironic pic

clipped by: ladalooop88845

Clip Source: www.flickr.com

This is the memorable and ironic view that greets every motorist traveling south on I-75 towards downtown. Thousands of these motorists are surely suburban GM workers on their way to work every day, and the irony of this chance alignment is hopefully not lost on them. In the background, the Renaissance Center, Detroit's tallest building and GM World Headquarters. In the foreground, St. Josaphat, a 105-year old still-functioning relic from Detroit's heyday. Detroit is the Motor City, but the sins committed here cannot be forgotten or forgiven--from the hundreds of murders every year to the construction of a freeway system that divided and destroyed vibrant and working neighborhoods. Hopefully this image will one day have different associations.

<clipSource>http://www.flickr.com/photos/gsgeorge/327826652/</clipSource>

We won't get hit with the satelite!!

clipped by: ladalooop88845

Clip Source: blogs.abcnews.com

So there's an American spy satellite -- its actual mission, orbit and size not made public -- which has lost power and, like all other objects in low Earth orbit, is gradually losing altitude because of friction with the tenuous atmosphere that exists even hundreds of miles up.

First of all, the chance of harm to human beings is very small, if only because 70 percent of the planet's surface is water, and most of the land is mountain, desert, farmland or frozen tundra. We earthlings crowd onto only a few percent of the space down here.

The vast majority of satellites are completely vaporized as they re-enter the atmosphere.

There was a woman named Lottie Williams, in Tulsa, Okla., who felt a soft tap on the shoulder when she was out walking one night; NASA decided the burnt piece of debris she found on the ground was lightweight insulation from a rocket nozzle. SYDNEY, Australia - An Australian retiree won a $1.8 million lottery prize, then lost it, and then won it again Wednesday through a court ruling.

8 Web Design Mistakes That Developers Make

"I Know What Looks Good (and I Have Photoshop)"

It's one thing to be a bad designer. It's a far worse matter to be a bad designer and think that you're good. Every good designer has a well-calibrated "design compass" that comes from constantly looking at good designs.

"Just Use Blue and White Again"

Most programmers scoff at the idea that a designer might spend several hours choosing exact colors for a website. However, colors will always matter more than you think and you can't change them after a site is being built (at least, not without great effort). Like most things, looking at the color schemes of good designers will help, and the best place to look for color scheme ideas is COLOURlovers.

"Use the Free Font...It Looks Fine to Me"

"I'm Not Paying for a Picture"

"No Need to Get Too Detailed"

<clipSource>http://www.wakeuplater.com/website-building/8-web-design-mistakes-that-developers-make.aspx</clipSource>

PostSecret Secret

clipped by: ladalooop88845
clipper's remarks: ok, so this is from a blog where people send in there secrets (anomysouly) and i just like reading them...and so i found this one...and well wanted to see if anyone thought like this...and i'll start because when i read the sign w/o reading the side part first...i read it as advice too. anyone else??

Clip Source: postsecret.blogspot.com

Tags: secret, pic, picture, neat

<clipSource>http://postsecret.blogspot.com/2007/09/sunday-secrets_22.html</clipSource>

Autopsy finds that man was never dead and still alive

clipped by: ladalooop88845
clipper's remarks: wow, i def. would not want this to happen to me.

Clip Source: www.news.com.au

A VENEZUELAN man who had been declared dead woke up in the morgue in excruciating pain after medical examiners began their autopsy.
