PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Police in Port St. Lucie are on the lookout for a cross-dressing man who snatched a 74-year-old woman's purse. As if that weren't odd enough, they're depending on a strange clue. The suspect left behind a condom filled with water he had been using as a fake breast.

The woman said she believed the thief followed her while shopping. A witness told investigators he was wearing a short denim skirt and black tube top, and fled in a silver car with two other male crossdressers.

Police are processing the condom for fingerprint and DNA evidence.

DENVER, Colorado (Ucs News) --Responding to reports of white supremacist "meth heads" planning to assassinate Barack Obama in Denver, Arizona Senator John McCain stated he was grateful that "All liberals are cowards that hate guns." and the he feels "perfectly safe."

The Obama campaign offices in St. Paul Minnesota were also attacked. When police arrived to the scene, officer found two large plate glass windows and a glass door completely smashed out and paint splattered on the outside and inside of the building. A campaign worker was in the basement at the time of the incident, but was unhurt. Police believe the Obama campaign office was targeted because of its Democratic affiliation.

McCain campaign has largely been free of the death threats and violence that have plagued is challenger Barack Obama.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville police say Reginald Peterson needs to learn that 911 is not the appropriate place to complain that Subway left the sauce off a spicy Italian sandwich.

Police said the 42-year-old man dialed 911 twice last week so he could have his sub made correctly. The second call was to complain that officers weren't arriving fast enough.

Subway workers told police Peterson became belligerent and yelled when they were fixing his order. They locked him out of the store after he left to call police.

When officers arrived, they tried to calm Peterson and explain the proper use of 911. Those efforts failed, and he was arrested on a charge of making false 911 calls.

Peterson did not have a listed phone number.

DURANGO, Colo. - Police in Colorado are telling a liquor store owner to give shoplifters the boot - literally.

Tired of losing what he says was about $1,000 worth of merchandise a month in thefts, the store owner started telling shoplifters he caught that they had two choices: Give him one of their shoes or he'd call the police

Durango police have since told the owner to stop the practice or risk facing charges of felony robbery

Shoplifting is a misdemeanour

The owner, Gabe Fidanque, was ordered to return the shoes to their owners, if he can find them

He reluctantly agreed. But he stands by his gumshoe work, which he started, he said, because people he turned in to police would return hours after being arrested

That's the whole point of it. They're too humiliated to come back and ask for their shoe, and that also means they won't steal again," Fidanque said. "But it's not worth jeopardizing my business."

A Chilean judge has ordered the arrest of nearly 100 former secret police and soldiers over rights abuses committed under General Augusto Pinochet.

More than 3,000 people were killed or "disappeared" during military rule in Chile between 1973 and 1990.

Pinochet's feared secret police force, the Dina, seized 119 dissidents in July 1975 and killed them.

published news accounts claiming they had died in battles between leftist factions outside Chile.

Most of the arrest orders issued on Monday were for former members of the Dina, others were for soldiers and civilians said to have collaborated with it.

Since the return to democracy in 1990, Chile has put dozens of soldiers, policemen and intelligence agents on trial for human rights abuses.

Among those listed is former Dina commander Manuel Contreras, who is already in jail in connection with other abuses

Gen Pinochet - who died on 10 December, 2006 - was accused of fraud as well as human rights abuses, but poor health meant he never faced trial

Indian police want a museum to display the head of a woman decapitated after she was accused of practicing witchcraft, hoping it will be a lesson for those who persecute innocent women.

A villager in the country's eastern Jharkhand state attacked the woman and chopped off her head at the weekend, apparently because he suspected her of being to blame for deaths in the family, police said. He then walked into the nearest police station holding the severed head.

"I think displaying this head in a museum will create a sensation in society and could be helpful in preventing people from taking to such heinous crimes," Sunit Kumar, a senior police officer, said from Jharkhand on Wednesday.

An 80-year-old church deacon was removed from the Smith Haven Mall yesterday in a wheelchair and arrested by police for refusing to remove a T-shirt protesting the Iraq War.

Zirkel, a deacon at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Wyandanch, said his shirt had the death tolls of American military personnel and Iraqis - 4,000 and 1 million - and the words "Dead" and "Enough." The shirt also has three blotches resembling blood splatters.

Zirkel said he was sitting in the food court drinking coffee with his wife Marie, 77, and several others when police and mall security officers approached and demanded they remove their anti-war T-shirts

"They forcibly picked me up and put me in the wheelchair," said Zirkel

A green, pint-glass-shaped Guinness costume has been reported stolen from an Eastpointe resident's garage. It's valued at $3,000 and had been flown to Michigan from Ireland to be used as advertising. Eastpointe Police Lt. Leo Borowsky says it is believed to be one of only two such costumes in the U.S.

Authorities say a Detroit beer distribution company loaned out the costume for Halloween. The owner of the home where the costume had been stored found out it had been stolen after the company asked for it back.

Borowsky says to be on the lookout. There's no better time to dress up as a green pint of Guinness than on St. Patrick's Day
