A group of young, former Lehman Bros. executives make plans to cross the border into Mexico.

Faced with seemingly insurmountable financial and personal hurdles, Americans have been streaming across the border into Mexico in the hopes of finding a better quality of life.

Mexican border patrol agents have abandoned searching for Mexicans crossing into the US and are now focused on Americans crossing into Mexico.

One American who was caught crossing the border was former Lehman Bros. Financier Ralph Goldman. "I just want a better life for my wife and kids", Goldman tearfully explained to the Mexican border patrol agent. "All the money and jobs have come here. The weather is nicer. Houses are cheaper. The banks haven't failed. I could have a life here".

Lame Duck President George W. Bush promised those who remain in America a $25 McDonald's gift certificate in addition to their economic stimulus checks. However, the House and Senate have not yet verified the gift certificate offer.

Last week at least three individuals were visited by FBI agents and compelled to give DNA samples. The agents possessed court orders for their DNA in investigation of a "violation of the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act"

Another individual was served with a subpoena for a federal grand jury hearing. FBI Special Agent Andrew Myers found her in downtown Santa Cruz as she hung out with friends last weekend. We believe the date on the grand jury hearing to be October 14, but that is not confirmed yet.

Anyone with more specific information should post here. We need to be as public about this as possible. We need to let folks facing FBI intimidation know that they have our utmost support, and send the FBI the message that we will never cooperate with their witch-hunts.

EFF Files Lawsuit Against NSA, Bush, Cheney to Halt Dragnet Surveillance

On Sept. 18th, the San Francisco-based Electronic Frontier Foundation filed a lawsuit in federal court against the NSA on behalf of five AT&T customers to stop the ongoing surveillance of their telephone and internet communications. The plaintiffs are also suing the President, Vice President and other officials who ordered or participated in the warrantless wiretapping.

Evidence in the case includes documents provided by former AT&T technician Mark Klein showing AT&T routed copies of internet traffic to a secret room in San Francisco controlled by the NSA.

This latest lawsuit filed by civil liberties groups fighting the domestic spying program established shortly after Sept. 11th, 2001, follows on the heels of Congress' attempt to provide "retroactive immunity" to the telecommunications companies participating in the program through the FISA Amendments Act of 2008.

Police in the US state of Maryland say they have found the frozen bodies of two children in the freezer of a house in Calvert County.

A 43-year-old woman told police the children were her adopted daughters and had been frozen since February

The authorities visited the house, in Lusby, on Saturday to investigate reports of abuse against a third child, a seven-year-old girl, who showed "signs of extreme abuse and neglect", the sheriff's department said.

When police arrived at her house to look for evidence of the alleged abuse, they found the children's remains in a chest-style freezer.

Police confirmed that the woman had adopted three children but that they had not yet been able to examine and identify the bodies.

The woman has been charged with first degree child abuse and is being held in a county jail without bail.

So I got to thinking, what exactly is a pervert? Some would argue that homosexuality is, and some would argue that God is a pervert. I guess it's just like porn. You know it when you see it.

I think it's more of a time and place thing
I think about sex every day and often...does that make me a pervert? Ha

yaya you know you liked it! hahaha. I agree that it is vague and people decide what is perverted. People judge by their own standards and what they determine is intolerable. So in essence, society dictates what is normal or, in this case abnormal and unacceptable. This determines the classification they put someone in, or what behaviors are deemed perverted.

A pervert? Well, if a person acts like me I'd say he/she is a pervert

Seen here shimmering in the sky over Cambridge in the afternoon sunshine, it is often mistaken for a rainbow hanging upside down. But unlike a rainbow, the sky has to be clear of rain and low level clouds for it to be seen.

'We're not sure how big an area it was visible over, but it was certainly very impressive.' According to Dr Mitton, the colours in the rainbow were intensified by the position of the sun, which was at the optimum spot in the sky of 22 degrees.The vision was made even more dazzling by the presence of "sun dogs" - gleaming spots on a halo around the sun. Dr Mitton added: 'It was just an amazing combination of factors that happened at the right time.'

DENVER, Colorado (Ucs News) --Responding to reports of white supremacist "meth heads" planning to assassinate Barack Obama in Denver, Arizona Senator John McCain stated he was grateful that "All liberals are cowards that hate guns." and the he feels "perfectly safe."

The Obama campaign offices in St. Paul Minnesota were also attacked. When police arrived to the scene, officer found two large plate glass windows and a glass door completely smashed out and paint splattered on the outside and inside of the building. A campaign worker was in the basement at the time of the incident, but was unhurt. Police believe the Obama campaign office was targeted because of its Democratic affiliation.

McCain campaign has largely been free of the death threats and violence that have plagued is challenger Barack Obama.
