LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - His mother suffered dark depressions and tried to dominate his life. His sister and daughter had severe mental problems, his father and wife died young and a beloved uncle committed suicide in his arms.

So what did Peter Mark Roget, the creator of Roget's Thesaurus, do to handle all the pain, grief, sorrow, affliction, woe, bitterness, unhappiness and misery in a life that lasted over 90 years?

He made lists.

Marijuana is one of the world’s most commonly used illegal drugs. There are approximately 300 million users worldwide and 28 million users in the United States alone.

Now, according to a new White House Office of National Drug Control Policy report, teens using marijuana put themselves at higher risk for serious mental problems including worsening depression, schizophrenia, anxiety and suicide.

Kids driving to 48 states in 5 days

Three men are on what they call a "Great American Road Trip," trying to drive through the lower 48 U.S. states in just over five days stopping only for gas.

The Minneapolis newspaper reported the three men, ages 20-25, had made it to Alabama, their 17th state, by Monday morning.

"This route has been checked and rechecked for shorter possibilities and triple checked to be sure that all 48 states are included," Keeler wrote on greatamericanroadtrip.us.

The adventurers are tooling about 7,500 miles across the country in a 2005 Toyota Scion xB because "it is roomy and gets good gas mileage," Keeler wrote.

The men said they are going to use the help of a global positioning system and AAA maps to make sure they don't get lost along the way.

Larry King was a gay eighth-grader who used to come to school in makeup, high heels and earrings. And when the other boys made fun of him, he would boldly tease them right back by flirting with them.

That may have been what got him killed.

Wash. Town Put Itself Up for Sale 5 Years Ago, Still Hasn't Found Buyer

A Wenatchee Realtor, Doty listed the entire town for sale five years ago.

She knew the town's owners Donna and Fritz Van Doren and they asked her to sell it for them when they moved from Monse to East Wenatchee.

It was a sweet deal: $575,000 for 60 acres that included seven houses, an old schoolhouse, a general store and post office, all platted into 100 parcels for anyone who wanted to remake their own little town.
