clipper's remarks: Who appointed the USA as judge and jury, or as no less than God? Why do we feel we have the right to "make all other nations a democracy?" What I see here is the typical of fundamental Christian influence. "We are right, and everyone else is wrong...we will change them."

If you read the entirety of this article, I'm sure many of you will feel sick to your stomach.

I can only hope, that somehow the world can one day see us as a place of hope and freedom, and not as what we have become by persisting in this war by these means and using such tactics of terrorism.

Why, upon capturing Saddam Hussein, and finding no WMD, did we not leave the nation of Iraq? When intelligence sources indicated that Osama Bin Laden was not within the borders of Iraq, why did we persist in this attack upon this nation?

No, I am not a political science major. I am not well versed in war-time strategy. I am a veteran, however. I was not in the Army during war or conflict. Now...I am a civil

I couldn't answer that.

Something was amiss. We hadn't found anything in this girl's house, but we had busted it up pretty well in 30 minutes and had taken away her brothers.

Her questions haunted me, and I didn't like not being able to answer them -- even to myself.

One raid was far worse.

Then something happened that haunts my dreams to this day. All the women were led back inside the house and our entire platoon was ordered to stand guard outside it. Four U.S. military men entered the house with the women. They closed the doors.

The women started shouting and screaming. The men stayed in there with them, behind closed doors. It went on and on and on.

It struck me then that we, the American soldiers, were the terrorists. We were terrorizing Iraqis. Intimidating them. Beating them. Destroying their homes. Probably raping them.

What sort of human beings would have an anti-gay, hate-filled protest at a young man's funeral who was viciously murdered by two men who killed him simply because they "hate fags?" What sort of human being would support such an act of callous evil?

You "Christians" that evoke the name of such an incredible, amazing, loving, holy man, Christ Jesus....how do you justify such heinous behavior? Seriously...I want to know. How are you different than the "terrorists" who seethe with hatred in their holy wars, fighting with fervor against those that would oppose them and their beliefs....HOW....just HOW are you different?

Respect your elders.
