But with the ever increasing number of quality free open educational resources, the advent of 'mashups' as a widespread model of innovation both artistic and commerical, as well as the new breeds of online media tools and alternative interfaces, the "Educator as DJ" is fast moving from high level metaphor to practical art. This presentation will dig deeper into this metaphor and demonstrate live what the actual practice of the open educator as DJ might look like. &lt;P&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;It is a Wordpress 2.7.1 site running the &lt;A href="http://projects.radgeek.com/feedwordpress/"&gt;feedwordpress plugin&lt;/A&gt; to syndicate content from various clipping or ’sampling’ services like &lt;A href="http://clipmarks.com"&gt;clipmark&lt;/A&gt;s and &lt;A href="http://tumblr.com"&gt;tumblr&lt;/A&gt;, and then running the&lt;A href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mrss/"&gt; media_rss plugin&lt;/A&gt; so that it’s feeds are in that format.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This then allows you to instantly generate a &lt;A href="http://www.cooliris.com/"&gt;cooliris presentation&lt;/A&gt; from any of the site’s RSS feeds with one click.&lt;/P&gt;
