e-Sword is a fast and effective way to study the Bible. e-Sword is feature rich and user friendly with more capabilities than you would expect in a free software package. The fact that e-Sword is free is just one of the blessings and does not speak of the quality of the software. I make my living writing software and I believe I have put forth my best effort in this endeavor. The real work, however, was put in by the godly men and women who devoted countless years creating the texts that have been made available for our benefit.

clipper's remarks: The United States of America is not a Christian nation in the sense that it has an established state religion. It is not a Christian nation in the sense that it's citizens adhere to the Christian faith. But it was, and remains, a nation founded upon Christian principles, for Law is simply a standard of conduct (or morality, if you will) that citizens must abide by, and the Founders saw in the Scriptures the most secure foundations for the laws of the American nation.

Certainly, there were some deists, some atheists, and some reprobates amongst the Founders of this nation. Why is it that we hear of these, while the memory of the men of God among the Founders has been largely extinguished?

Dinosaur Soft Tissue Found

T. Rex Soft Tissue Found Preserved

A Tyrannosaurus rex fossil has yielded what appear to be the only preserved soft tissues ever recovered from a dinosaur. Taken from a 70-million-year-old thighbone, the structures look like the blood vessels, cells, and proteins involved in bone formation.

Most fossils preserve an organism's hard tissues, such as shell or bone. Finding preserved soft tissue is unheard of in a dinosaur-age specimen.

"Finding these tissues in dinosaurs changes the way we think about fossilization, because our theories of how fossils are preserved don't allow for this [soft-tissue preservation],"

Black Sun Phenomenon

During spring in Denmark, at approximately one half an hour before sunset, flocks of more than a million European starlings (sturnus vulgaris) gather from all corners to join in the incredible formations shown above. This phenomenon is called Black Sun (in Denmark), and can be witnessed in early spring throughout the marshlands of western Denmark, from March through to the middle of April. The starlings migrate from the south and spend the day in the meadows gathering food, sleeping in the reeds during the night. The best place to view this amazing aerial dance is in the place called "Tøndermarsken," where these pictures were taken (on April 5 from 19.30 to 20.30 local time).
