In a press conference Tuesday, Mr. Goodale, who also serves as house leader for the Opposition, described Mr. Rae as the person to best confront the Conservative government, which he said was the “most rigidly ideological government in Canadian history”.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;hr size="2" color="#666666" /&gt;&lt;div style="padding: 10px;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align:left;"&gt;&lt;P&gt;
