clipper's remarks: A wise friend once said that "we learn from whom we are yoked". I believe that is so true. Whether a spouse, a business partner, a pastor, or friend. There's a reason why we are drawn to them and allow them to influence us....for good or bad. These associations speak volumes to me about the ideals, opinions, world-view, values of Obama...regardless of what he says. Words are easy & cheap. History reveals the inner man.

Convicted felon Tony Rezko. Unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers. And the race-baiting Rev. Jeremiah Wright. It is hard to think of any presidential candidate before Barack Obama sporting associations with three more execrable characters.

Yet let the McCain campaign raise the issue, and the mainstream media begin fulminating about dirty campaigning tinged with racism and McCarthyite guilt by association.

But associations are important. They provide a significant insight into character

He found these men useful, and use them he did. Would you attend a church whose pastor was spreading racial animosity from the pulpit? Would you even shake hands with — let alone serve on two boards with — an unrepentant terrorist, whether he bombed U.S. military installations or abortion clinics?

clipper's remarks: I think this is great news and why would this not help our economy...which everyone seems to say is bad. I can't speak for anyone else but my own family, but the only thing that's been bothersome about our economy has been the increase in food prices. Lower gas prices should help...maybe...considering the transportation of food to local markets. Now if we can get rid of that dumb ethanol idea, pursue our drilling options and encourage the movement towards our alternatives, we have a go! The worse thing we can do is tie ourselves to the "global" financial option being proposed in Europe.

Shinya Yamanaka of Kyoto University in Japan and colleagues invented a new way to transform ordinary cells into embryonic-like stem cells called iPS cells,

they believe the method can work in people, too,

As sexism charges against media coverage of Sarah Palin have intensified in recent weeks, one particular news photograph has roused widespread fury among readers who say it demeans the Alaska governor as nothing more than a sex object.

Barack Obama is the first national candidate ever to hire ACORN, a controversial non-profit accused of voter fraud across the country, for get out the vote activities.
