An hour before Ivy May Ngahooro was to be buried, four carloads of supporters arrived at the Seddon Park Funeral Home in Hamilton and took her body from a hearse. The Hamilton branch of the family want the funeral held there. Mrs Ngahooro's daughter and her supporters want the burial to take place in Taumarunui.

A court injunction means it is now a criminal offence for anyone to bury Mrs Ngahooro until the matter has been heard in court.
