the wake of last month’s Police raids, Tuhoe activists
have asked to be left alone to establish an independent
Tuhoe nation. They say that they will take up arms to defend
their right to live as they please, as a country within a

don’t find a political solution could it go violent?”
the spokesman answered, “That can never be discounted by
us”. Certainly television footage of children as young as
ten being trained to use guns (the legal age is 16)
indicates a commitment by tribal leaders to ready the whole
community for violent action. (To listen to view interview,

shortly make a decision whether to approve terrorism charges
against the Maori, peace and environmental activists
arrested last month. Nicky Hager describes how the decision
will be made and the factors the Solicitor-General needs to
take into account.

More important, the
Terrorism Suppression Act is worryingly vague and, since it
has never before been used, there is no experience upon
which to sensibly decide where it does and does not apply.
The problem is that "terrorism" is not a neutral term. It
does not even have a clear and agreed meaning. The Terrorism
Suppression Act does contain a (contentious) definition of
"terrorism", but it gives no clarity because so much of the
connotation and meaning of terrorism are not
addressed.

Tags: terroist in new zealand.

<clipSource>http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0711/S00120.htm</clipSource>

Airport are Hot.

clipped by: hotdoge3
clipper's remarks: Dubai like buy now Canadian airport still OK yo buy.

Clip Source: www.iht.com

Canada Pension Plan making fresh bid for New Zealand airport stake

The Canadian pension fund said in a statement it would make an all-cash partial takeover offer of NZ$3.6555 a share direct to shareholders in New Zealand's main international airport.

The Dubai company's 2.6 billion New Zealand (US$1.8 billion; €1.3 billion) cash-and-stapled-securities bid for up to 60 percent of the airport operator faced stiff opposition from central and local government officials concerned about a significant national infrastructure asset going into foreign control.

Tags: hot buy.

<clipSource>http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/11/06/business/AS-FIN-COM-New-Zealand-Canada-Airport-Bid.php</clipSource>
