But let's give Trump at least a few points for Jujitsuing gay-marriage activists by invoking Barack Obama's opposition to it. Citing Prejean's answer at the pageant, he said, "It's the same answer that the president of the United States gave."

The difference is that she actually believes it. Indeed, the "dumb blonde with fake boobs," as homosexual activists have called her, has provided a more spirited and courageous defense of marriage than many Catholic bishops.

How is it that a culture as drenched in depravity as this one could describe her as "disgraced"? Is that even possible anymore?

The violent reaction to Prejean's remarks illustrates once again not only the intrinsically violent character of homosexual activism -- it rallies around a sexual act that violates nature, after all -- but also its deep fear of fertile, heterosexual women. Carrie Prejean scares the hell out of them.

In Islam, it is forbidden to convert to different faiths. The idea is that God slowly provided the world with his divine words progressively through the Bible, the Torah and lastly the Koran. Islam is the faith which EVERYBODY should follow because it is God’s final words. Thus, it is completely blasphemous to revert back to the ‘old’ and ‘outdated’ faiths – in essence one should keep with the trend and if it isn’t fashion then it should certainly be their spiritual connection to God.

Most important of all, Rahman’s case has painted the split in Afghani society on how to interpret the constitution which in an incredibly contradicting manner has called for religious freedom while also claiming that any Muslim which renounces Islam should be punished by death.

Sharia Law advocates the latter point (i.e. punishes heretics and those renouncing Islam) and thus by default (in its current state), it cannot be compatible with modern day democracy.

Police investigating an alleged al-Qaeda plot to carry out an "Easter spectacular" of co-ordinated suicide bomb attacks on shopping centres in Manchester are continuing to search a number of addresses in Liverpool.

Eleven Pakistani nationals and one UK-born Briton were still being questioned at various locations in the UK in connection with the alleged plot.

The men, ten of whom hold student visas, can be detained for up to 28 days.

Some of the suspects were watched by MI5 agents as they filmed themselves outside the Trafford Centre on the edge of Manchester, the Arndale Centre in the city centre, and the nearby St Ann's Square.

Police were forced to round up the alleged plotters after they were overheard discussing dates, understood to include the Easter bank holiday, one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.

Police are now engaged in a search for an alleged bomb factory

The Colorado Model refers to liberal activists' political strategy to make Colorado safe for Democratic candidates for years to come. The strategy, as Barnes described it, consists of seven different "capacities": 1) "to generate intellectual ammunition," 2) "to pursue investigations," 3) "to mobilize for elections," 4) to combat media bias, 5) to sue strategically, 6) "to train new leaders," and 7) "to sustain a presence in the new media." The Colorado left now has all seven in place, according to Barnes.

The left accomplished this transmogrification by pumping millions of dollars into select activist groups and institutions. The money came from the Colorado Democracy Alliance (CoDA), a state-level spinoff of the national Democracy Alliance, a billionaire leftists' club.

In a larger sense, this is also a story about the unintended consequences of campaign-finance reform. In 2002, Congress passed McCain-Feingold.

ACORN’s attorney: Arthur Schwartz, of Community Board 2, was recently named general counsel for ACORN nationwide. The grassroots community activist group has 400,000 members. Schwartz, one of the city’s top union lawyers, said he’ll be scaling back a bit on that front to focus on his new job. “They pick their issues,” he said of ACORN. “They support Atlantic Yards; they negotiated a deal with Ratner to get jobs, affordable housing. They’re an integral part of the Working Families Party.” Republicans heaped scorn on ACORN after its voter-registration flubs in the last election. Schwartz said there are some “investigations” into those issues, but that “It would have been a lot different if McCain was president.” With the foreclosure crisis, Schwartz said, he expects that with ACORN he’ll be doing “a lot of work around housing.”

The labor-based Working Families Party asked public-advocate hopefuls vying for its endorsement to agree to consult with the party before deals are cut on land use, The Post has learned.

The WFP asked for the commitment from four hopefuls in its candidate questionnaire, in which it notes that the public advocate has a City Planning Commission appointee, and asked if they would "commit" to having that person "consult with the WFP and its affiliates on development before deals with the developers are struck."

Brooklyn Councilman Bill de Blasio got the party's endorsement.

Newspeak is a fictional language in George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. In the novel, it is described as being "the only language in the world whose vocabulary gets smaller every year".

This suits the totalitarian regime of the Party, whose aim is to make any alternative thinking — "thoughtcrime", or "crimethink" in the newest edition of Newspeak — impossible by removing any words or possible constructs which describe the ideas of freedom, rebellion and so on. One character says admiringly of the shrinking volume of the new dictionary: "It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words."

The underlying theory of Newspeak is that if something can't be said, then it can't be thought.

Generically, Newspeak has come to mean any attempt to restrict disapproved language by a government or other powerful entity.

A perusal through Obama's current Wikipedia entry finds a heavily guarded, mostly glowing biography about the U.S. president. Some of Obama's most controversial past affiliations, including with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and former Weathermen terrorist Bill Ayers, are not once mentioned, even though those associations received much news media attention and served as dominant themes during the presidential elections last year.

Also completely lacking is any mention of the well-publicized concerns surrounding Obama's eligibility to serve as commander-in-chief.

Indeed, multiple times, Wikipedia users who wrote about the eligibility issues had their entries deleted almost immediately and were banned from re-posting any material on the website for three days.

a spokeswoman for Wikipedia, explained to WND that all the website's encyclopedia content is monitored by users. She said the administrators who deleted the entries are volunteers.

Just because New York State United Teachers is spending $1.5 million on an ad campaign promoting higher income taxes for those earning more than $250,000 a year doesn’t mean that all union members are on board.

NYSUT noted that some NYSUT members have been vocal in opposing the higher tax rate on top wage earners. Recent polls show that 80 percent of New Yorkers support increasing the income tax on the wealthy, the union reported.

Top base salaries in the coming school year include $127,925 in Pelham, $133,278 in Edgemont and $138,253 in Katonah

Particularly irked are Ed Gruber, a high school physics teacher in Eastchester, and his wife, who also teaches science in Westchester County.

My wife and I are both employed as science teachers in Westchester County, and earned a gross household income in 2007 of more than $240,000. This year, we may top the $250,000 figure with step increases and extracurricular activities.

Saudi Arabia revealed that six of its most wanted jihadists are former Gitmo inmates.

A Gallup poll yesterday showed 50 percent of voters oppose the decision to close Gitmo and 44 percent support it.

Pentagon officials said they believe there are now 61 released Gitmo detainees who rejoined al Qaeda and the Taliban to fight against the United States and its allies.

In total, about 7 percent of those transferred from US custody have returned to terrorist activities, the Defense Department said. There are some 250 suspected jihadists currently held at Gitmo.

Two former detainees have even been involved in suicide attacks.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, which has battled domestic jihadists for years, released a list of 83 suspected terrorists who are fighting overseas, including six released from Gitmo.

Nancy Killefer, nominated by President Barack Obama to be the federal government's first chief performance officer, is withdrawing from the post, the White House said Tuesday.

In making the appointment, Mr. Obama said the appointment of Ms. Killefer, an executive at the consulting firm McKinsey & Co., was "among the most important that I will make."

Ms. Killefer, 55 years old, failed to pay employment taxes on household help for a year and a half, the Associated Press reported. In 2005, the AP said, the District of Columbia filed a $946.69 tax lien on her home for failure to pay the unemployment compensation tax.

An administration official confirmed that she is withdrawing over a tax problem. The official said that the matter surfacing during the vetting that took place before her nomination was announced and the Obama team decided to move forward anyway.

Ms. Killefer is the third Obama nominee to confront tax problems.

Daschle withdraws as nominee for HHS secretary

A day earlier, Obama had said he "absolutely" stood by Daschle in the face of problems over back taxes and potential conflicts of interest.

The stunning Daschle development came less than three hours after another Obama nominee also withdrew from consideration, and also over tax problems. Nancy Killefer, nominated by Obama to be the government's first chief performance officer, said she didn't want her bungling of payroll taxes on her household help to be a distraction.

Last month, he paid $128,203 in back taxes and $11,964 in interest.

Daschle also was facing questions about potential conflicts of interests related to speaking fees he accepted from health care interests. He also provided advice to health insurers and hospitals through his post-Senate work at a law firm.

The controversy has undercut Obama's promise to run a more ethical, responsible and special interest-free administration.

FREED FROM GITMO - TO MURDER

A terrorist who was released from the Guantanamo Bay prison and later blew himself up - along with 12 other people - in Iraq thanked God for his release in a tape made just before the attack, it was reported yesterday.

Abdallah Ali al-Ajmi, was sprung from the facility, which the Obama administration plans to close, in 2005, and sent back to his home country of Kuwait.

"I thank Allah, Lord of the Worlds, who freed me from Guantanamo prison, and, after we were tortured, connected me with the Islamic state of Iraq," al-Ajmi said on a chilling tape, just before the deadly April attack in Mosul, Fox News' Web site said.

The murderous fanatic mentions Guantanamo very early in the video, according to the NEFA Foundation, a nonprofit that tracks terrorist groups and translated the tape.

Last week, President Obama signed an executive order to close the prison, but officials must figure out what to do with the more than 250 prisoners still there.
