Russian World’s Largest Military Hovercraft

This is the world’s largest military hovercraft and it belongs to the Russian army. It is armed with missiles, artillery and AA defense guns and can carry a few heavy tanks at once.

After approaching to the enemy coastline it can give a burst of fire to tear of such fierce force that can tear big military ship apart, then without any slowing down start moving on the shore advancing deep inside to unload the tanks and infantry. There is a video below too.

St. Sophia Cathedral's model is made of Easter eggs in Kiev

Moscow, April 21, Interfax - A model of St. Sophia Cathedral is to be built
from eggs at the central square of Kiev to Easter.

The cupolas are also being made from eggs and then will be painted gold.

"Eggs construction" occupies ten square meters. Almost thousand eggs were
used to build a city of castles Kamenets-Podolsky. Fortresses and fortified
constructions of Kazacheskaya Sech, famous Lastochkino Gnezdo in Yalta and
the Black Sea are set up nearby.

Several layers of special glue were applied to harden the sculpture so that
it didn't crash down while constructed. About 17 thousand eggs were used to
create so unusual map of Ukraine apart from the thousand crushed ones, the
Vremya TV program broadcasted on the Pervy canal has reported.

The eggs map will be consecrated before Easter and then each Easter egg will
be presented as a souvenir.

The Seal Concentration Camp

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) has been waging a war for quite some time now with the seal hunting industry. The Canadian Government insists that the seal hunt is an animal production industry like any others, while animal activists says the levels of suffering present here most than in any other industry cannot be tolerated. According to independent studies 79% of the sealers involved in the study did not check to see if an animal was dead before skinning it. Furthermore, in 40% of the cases, the sealhad had to be struck a second time, because it was still conscious after the first blow. Almost half of the seals were conscious when skinned.

Not your usual children’s camp

Welcome to Stavropol children’s military camp, where Russian kids lose…no not their virginity you pervert, their childhood!

As the title suggests, this is not your typical summer camp, where people play games, have fun and learn cool stuff, this is the army baby, the Russian army. About 40 children, between 12 and 17 years old go through a rough training here and learn the basics martial arts and weaponry. Just like the Ansan civilian camp in South Korea, Stavropol run by former Russian servicemen and I bet they’re pretty tough.

I may seem soft but I wouldn’t send my kid there no matter what he did, I really think places like these rob kids of their childhood much too soon…

Antonov. The World’s Heaviest and Largest Jet

Antonov or AN-225 is the world’s heaviest and largest jet ever built with the landing gear system of 32 wheels and a wing span of 291 feet.

It was designed for the Soviet space program in 1988 and able to airlift the Energia rocket’s boosters, Buran space shuttle or ultra-heavy and oversize freight, up to 250,000 kg (550,000 lb) internally or 200,000 kg (440,000 lb) on the upper fuselage. Cargo on the upper fuselage can be 70 m long.

Hill of Crosses in Lithuania

These are photos of unknown author from Hill of Crosses.

It has more than 50,000 crosses on it, and no it is not a cemetery.

The reasons for the crosses to be there is that there is a story that each one who would put his own cross on this mountain would become a lucky guy, so thousands come here and install their custom crosses.

They say this tradition appeared before the Christianity came to Lithuania and Russia and is of pagan origin.
