A 16-year-old German geek, nicknamed FrooP, has spent most of his free time on an impressive project. FrooP started building the Chernobyl-themed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. PC from scratch, adding the impressive work of art a flip open panel to view the meltdown inside.

Whisky PC

For the project I selected a 1.5 litre Ballantine's bottle for case. That was the proper size and shape for the task at hand.

Prepping the bottle

a professional glass grinder man prepared the whisky bottle for me. He made two holes: one at the back of the bottle for CPU cooling and one at left side for put in the stuffing.

Hardware

I bought an Intel P3 733EB processor, a 256MB notebook RAM, a 40GB notebook HDD and finaly a 60W mini-ITX PSU. The RAM module is placed at the back side of the mobo.

In the next step I made a new plexi side panel and I fixed the mobo for it together with the power connector and the power switch. The small piece of plexi at the left functions as a "lock".

I made new cabling for power switch, HDD LED and 12V power connector.

Fitting it all inside

HDD and PSU already installed inside the bottle. Now comes the tricky part on how to get the rest of the hardware components to fit.

Weighing 1.25 tons, and towering 6ft 6in at the shoulder, Chilli dwarfs most horses, is the same height as a small elephant, and could provide enough steaks to feed an army.

The owners of Chilli, a black and white Friesian steer, believe he may be the tallest bovine in Britain.

Second largest of the penguins, King penguins have an orange yellow patch on their chests and greyish black backs. A King could only be confused with an Emperor penguin, but the location should be a give away. Emperors are only found on and around the Antarctic continent; Kings are found further north on sub-Antarctic islands.

SAN JACINTO, California (AP) -- A man and woman opened fire on guards at an entrance to an American Indian reservation and fled into its hilly interior, where they were killed in a gunbattle with sheriff's deputies and a SWAT team, authorities said Tuesday. It was the second deadly gunfight involving deputies on the reservation in five days.

One of the victims was identified as Joseph Arres, 36, of San Jacinto, Gutierrez said. The name of the woman had yet to be released.

A Riverside County Sheriff's SWAT team member, wearing a "ghillie" suit, prepares to search for suspects.
