The Boy and the Python

Oeun Sambat is a six-year old boy from Cambodia, who has a very unusual best friend, a huge python called Chamerun (Lucky). If you ask me that should be the boy’s name, he’s lucky that thing hasn’t eaten him yet. Anyway he’s become really popular in the surrounding area, people from the neighboring villagers flock to see this miracle and say he has supernatural powers because he was the son of a dragon in a previous life.

It’s a pretty cool situation, still if was one of the boy’s parents I wouldn’t let him keep that thing as a pet…snakes are very unpredictable creatures, especially if they aren’t tamed in any way.

St. Sophia Cathedral's model is made of Easter eggs in Kiev

Moscow, April 21, Interfax - A model of St. Sophia Cathedral is to be built
from eggs at the central square of Kiev to Easter.

The cupolas are also being made from eggs and then will be painted gold.

"Eggs construction" occupies ten square meters. Almost thousand eggs were
used to build a city of castles Kamenets-Podolsky. Fortresses and fortified
constructions of Kazacheskaya Sech, famous Lastochkino Gnezdo in Yalta and
the Black Sea are set up nearby.

Several layers of special glue were applied to harden the sculpture so that
it didn't crash down while constructed. About 17 thousand eggs were used to
create so unusual map of Ukraine apart from the thousand crushed ones, the
Vremya TV program broadcasted on the Pervy canal has reported.

The eggs map will be consecrated before Easter and then each Easter egg will
be presented as a souvenir.

The real curse of Hello! It's jinxed the marriages of the famous for 20 years and it helped fuel today's warped celebrity culture

When Hello! first appeared, in May 1988, the reaction of London's hip, young media professionals was instantaneous.

Its main attraction was an interview with Princess Anne, despite the fact Diana and Fergie were the Eighties media darlings.

Second billing went to Burt Reynolds' wedding. No one, surely, could be interested in a has-been Seventies movie star.

It promised Princess Caroline of Monaco and a yellow rose named after her. What kind of story was that? And finally, Ivan Lendl, a robotic, Czech tennis player, "reveals another side of his life".

One side was more than enough. Everyone agreed Hello! would fold in weeks.

How wrong they were. The magazine was an instant phenomenon. Twenty years on, it still sells 400,000 copies a week in Britain and eight million around the world.

Seven of the ten best-selling covers have featured the Royal Family.

You must get tired of your furniture from time to time. Or you just need something your friends or neighbours don’t have. This is were these creative animal or flower furniture comes in. It sure beats the hell out of the diy IKEA stuff.

The Eiffel Flowers

WACKY Gerard Brion shows off his in-Seine creation – a model of Paris built out of rubbish in his flower beds.

The Frenchman, 29, has spent 15 years crafting landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Sacré Coeur out of old concrete blocks, baby food jars and soup tins.

His garden in Vaissac in the South of France is now a tourist attraction.

Gerard said: “It took a lot of patience and concentration, but it was worth it.”

Gerard Brion's passion and gift for architecture and drawing date back to his childhood. When Brion was aged 14 he set himself the crazy challenge to create a model of Paris-Center. The model took 15 years to complete (a staggering 20,000 hours)
