George W. Bush was twice elected President of the United States with great assistance from evangelical Christians, who, almost universally, believed he was a born-again believer. Many still hold onto that belief. In fact, evangelical Christians compose the bulk of the ever-shrinking base of support Bush has left. This is due almost exclusively to this belief that Bush is a born-again Christian.

However, that believers can continue to propound the "Christianity" of George W. Bush takes the cake. One has to hand it to Karl Rove: he thoroughly and masterfully fooled the Religious Right. And he did it with only a little assistance from Bush.

In the Medellin v. Texas case, which we addressed in a June 12 special report, the Bush Administration acted so committed to the primacy of international law and global courts that it took the President’s home state of Texas to court on behalf of a group of convicted Mexican killers. It seems President George W. Bush will stop at no lengths to appease Mexico and place the United States under international authority. His latest fiasco, however, twists logic, mocks justice, and defies decency.

I am referring to the fact that President Bush is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the death penalty of an illegal Mexican alien convicted of brutally raping and murdering two Houston, Texas teenagers back in 1993. Here is Word Net Daily's (WND) latest report of the story: "At issue is the death penalty verdict for Jose Medellin, who confessed in 1993 to participating in the rape and murder of two Houston teenagers. Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Pena were sodomized and strangled with their shoe laces. Medellin then boasted of keeping one girl's Mickey Mouse watch as a souvenir of the crime.

Readers who are following this unbelievable case know that Rep. Rohrabacher is scheduled to conduct congressional hearings today regarding the Ramos and Compean affair. I am confident that Rohrabacher will focus much of the committee's investigation on the illegitimacy of the Justice Department's star witness, Mexican drug-runner Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, and the possibility that the Mexican government was involved in our country's prosecution of the two Border Patrol agents.

Congressman Rohrabacher obtained copies of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) border pass cards issued to Aldrete-Davila via a Freedom of Information Act request. What he discovered is proof beyond all doubt that the prosecution of Ramos and Compean was illegitimate and that the two agents should be immediately released.

Most people who think of themselves as "spiritual" are not into Christianity, they're into New Age Spirituality. New Age devotees prefer paganism over biblical Christianity. Since New Agers reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ they don't have The Truth. They want is to create their own truth, their own reality, they're own religious experience. Their esoteric experiences may make them feel "spiritual" but it will separate them from God.

Another thing New Agers are big on is Spiritualism (not to be confused with spirituality). Spiritualism uses Christian rites and prayers. For example, a blend of Christian and African folk beliefs that originated in Brazil, which is heavily into Spiritualism, is now practiced in the U.S. The undiscerning Christian who attends these kinds of services are misled into thinking it's a Christian worship service, when the truth of the matter is they're involving themselves in occult rituals that are forbidden by God.

Is it because these agreements are another way to fleece American taxpayers and fiscally undermine Social Security?

Since the creation of DHS, the new special agents of ICE do not get the Spanish language training that were an absolute requirement for all INS enforcement personnel. It is estimated that 80% of the illegal aliens in the United States are Spanish speaking. It is impossible to investigate people you are unable to communicate with, yet the new special agents are being handicapped by this language barrier that has been created since the creation of DHS which, for a number of reasons, I have come to refer to as the Department of Homeland Surrender. This is not intended as a slight against the dedicated men and women of the DHS but rather a way of highlighting my frustration with the administration and its very obvious lack of desire to make certain that our borders are secure and the immigration system has integrity.
