Here's David Armano speaking below at the Interaction 08 Conference. So many great talks listed here from the conference but Armano's brings together the principles and some great examples of experience design, meshing utility, creativity and technology, explaining how interaction designers are the hub whether they are for transactional sites, branded experiences, or content that makes you laugh including breaking out onto the mobile platform. Ideas to bring sticky engagement to brand experiences. Via Brand New.

It's Valentine's day. Instead of sending candies, flowers and cards with hearts. Send a special person a picture of the "Heart Nebula". Yes, it really exists—and will get them thinking about the wonders of the universe. Nothing says "I love you" like the cosmos.

<clipSource>http://darmano.typepad.com/logic_emotion/2008/02/do-something-di.html</clipSource>

Listen to the Grammy nominees on Emusic.com

clipped by: gemalynn
clipper's remarks: One of my FAVORITE sites for music. that expensive double-pane energy efficient kind, and today, I got a call from
the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the work had been
completed a whole year ago and I still hadn't paid for them.

Hellloooo ........... just because I'm blonde doesn't
mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I told him just what his fast-talking

We're sure there's easier ways to lose your girlfriend, but probably none more stylish. Enter HK-Ergonomics' Hip Office, a glass-fiber prototype "accessory" that slides elegantly around your spare tire and allows you to suspend a laptop from your waist. Yes, it's just the thing to match your loveless evenings alone, fluorescently lit cubicle, and unfashionable pleated pants. Watch out, cellphone holster.

The Hip Office keeps you single, working

<clipSource>http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/04/the-hip-office-keeps-you-single-working/</clipSource>

Rethinking the Meat-Guzzler

clipped by: gemalynn

Clip Source: www.nytimes.com

Switch to method if you haven't already!

Clip Source: peopleagainstdirty.typepad.com

Spare the Air Top 10 Tips

method co-founder Adam Lowry spoke at today’s “Spare the Air” press conference in San Francisco. The “Spare the Air” program was established to educate the public about air pollution in the Bay area and promote individual behavior changes that improve air quality. Here are a few of Adam’s tips about how you can help spare the air in your home:

Trash your Stash – you know all those nasty cleaners hiding under your sink? Get rid of them, and replace them with healthy alternatives like method. And do it at work, too, because we spend as much time there as we do at home.

Tags: green, eco, detox, home

<clipSource>http://peopleagainstdirty.typepad.com/people_against_dirty/2007/05/1_trash_your_st.html</clipSource>

Shadow block art by Kumi Yamashita

clipped by: gemalynn

Clip Source: blog.makezine.com

Shadow blocks

I agree!

Clip Source: abriefmessage.com

On Monday November 19th, Amazon released something called Kindle, the latest “e-book” reading device. I’ve been asked to comment on what effect I think this will have, if any, on book design as we know it. Here goes.

None.
