Prior to his current role Mr. Ramasamy has held various positions across divisions within the firm including those of Director - Manufacturing & Technology (Global), Chief Technology Officer, Director - Corporate Affairs, and Sr. Vice President - Operations and Supply Chain. Mr. Ramasamy has been with Essel Propack for over 20 years and has an engineering degree in Chemical and Plastics, and an Executive MBA from Lansbridge University, Canada. In addition to this, he is also a regular faculty for manufacturing excellence and Six Sigma implementation methodologies at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

BEE CHAMPION -- Claire Pommier, a fifth grader at Brayton School in Summit, took first place in the state spelling bee at Rutgers University on March 15, sponsored by the N.J. State Federation of Women's Clubs - Junior Membership.Â Claire previously placed first in the Summit spelling bee hosted by the Summit Junior Fortnightly Club in January and repeated with a first place victory at the Liberty District Spelling Bee in Kearny on Feb. 21.

Claire Pommier, a fifth grader at Summit’s Brayton School, was the first place state winner of the N.J. State Federation of Women’s Clubs Spelling Bee held March 15th. The initial qualifying round for Claire that led her to the state tournament was the Summit Jr. Fortnightly Club Spelling Bee held in January for fourth and fifth graders. Claire then won the Liberty District Spelling Bee held in Kearny in February before moving on to the state championship.

Our company provides on-the-ground engineering and procurement services in the Asia-Pacific region. We pre-qualify vendors, perform on site audits, obtain samples, negotiate pricing & terms, optimize the manufacturing process, inspect the goods and coordinate logistics.

Unlike our competitors, we do not mark-up the price of the goods we procure or accept a back commission from the vendors we manage. Our compensation comes only in the form of an hourly fee from our clients.

We feel that this model provides complete transparency and allows us to advocate for our clients. I'm curious to hear why some procurement managers and supply chain managers are resistant the the fee-based model and prefer to use brokers that incorporate a mark-up into the finished goods pricing.
