Bugged by the fake english(US) accent!

If it was back in India, it wouldn’t matter as everyone spoke in normal english except some people, the so called “NRI’s” or who want to show off their english “accent” . But some people have a natural stylish accent and thats by practice(maybe influenced by movies, tv shows ..etc..) . By the way its very easy to distinguish between a natural and fake “english style” of speaking.

We Indians speak good and clear english.. too general .. esp me , i talk clear and fairly good english, but my english isn’t stylish. I never tried to make it stylish, I just make sure that my talk is clear to the listener.

Chai was doing her management project using powerpoint presentation and Shaanya was helping her. She had some slide where in she needed an example of how a login page with forgot password page looks like. So Shaanya visited Yahoo Mail to have a look. So does Yahoo pressurize its users to forget their password, so that they will help the users find it back ..Or does the link helps users in forgetting their passwords .. LOL… Surprisingly Yahoo Mail page had this under the login id and password.

Wow.. Google adsense page is looking damn good after the change they made . Ihad logged in the morning , it was still the same. Just now i logged in and they have this new refreshing look.

awesome .. The new page has a tabbed feature below which explains about getting paid , Customizing AdSense,Where do the ads come from,Show only appropriate ads,how to get started, publishers words……

Recently we have also seen google ads style being changed giving them a new look too..

I checked just again and the new look is gone ..maybe they are testing the new look !!

Here's an Outstanding essay on the end of Microsoft’s reign over the computer industry by Paul Graham co-founders of Y Combinator(it funds startups).

He starts from how Microsoft started after IBM and how it monopolized. But this monopoly is gone now. The time has come , No one is even afraid of Microsoft anymore. They still make lot of money - but they aren't dangerous.

He writes what killed Microsoft , they are - Google , Gmail , broadband Internet , OS X. He suggests what can save Microsoft from dying away !!!.. He nicely adds at the end

"I already know what the reaction to this essay will be. Half the readers will say that Microsoft is still an enormously profitable company, and that I should be more careful about drawing conclusions based on what a few people think in our insular little "Web 2.0" bubble. The other half, the younger half, will complain that this is old news."

Many people get irritated by downloading Yahoo Messenger everytime from their server , we cannot save the exe at all.It does saves the exe file in a temporary file and it deletes as soon as the messenger is installed.We can copy it before it gets deleted..but thats quite a job..

If you downloaded WordPress 2.1.1 within the past 3-4 days, your files may include a

security exploit that was added by a cracker, and you should upgrade all of your files to 2.1.2 immediately.

It was determined that a cracker had gained user-level access to one of the servers that powers wordpress.org, and had used that access to modify the download file. We have locked down that server for further forensics, but at this time it appears that the 2.1.1 download was the only thing touched by the attack. They modified two files in WP to include code that would allow for remote PHP execution.

I was surprised to see an ad on the ZDNet blogs today while browsing .It says "Look for the logo—and you could win ".

It isn't clear from the website what that actually is, but to enter simply visit one of the partner sites each week to get the weekly entry code and then fill out the sweepstakes form on the lookforlogo.com website.

The wizards at iPodWizard.net have hacked their way to add a background image to first-generation iPod nanos.All you need is a firmware patch supplied by the authors.

You will need the free iPodWizard utility for Windows, which, will allow you to change your iPod's fonts, graphics and text.
