Amy (@amyyen on Twitter) and I decided to bring a little social media flair to our agency’s Halloween party. I was dressed as Clipmarks and Amy as RSS. Amanda Gravel will be dressing as Twitter this year too. Amy and I used our costumes as a fun way to teach attendees about social media… any way to get everyone engaged.

I'm always amazed by the great clips that find their way there, but this one literally made me guffaw here in the office. That's got to be one of the most clickable links I've ever seen. Something behind that link is exciting, but you don't know what!

Tomorrow at 12pm EST, well be streaming live video from the Clipmarks HQ! This is our first shot at doing a live event, so we’re going to be experimenting and having some fun as we record tomorrow’s Clipiversity. We’ll have an embedded version of the stream here on clipiversity.com as well as a link to the live feed where you can ask us questions chat with anybody else who’s watching.

Adam is our resident Aussie here in the Clipmarks office, and he was awesome enough to bring in a few cans of Fosters in celebration of Australia Day! It’s been an extremely intense week, and we’ve got so much amazing stuff coming that we’re informally calling it “Clipmarks 2.0″ here in the office. Seriously, some of this stuff is going to knock your socks off.

After a week of late nights, it was great to unwind a bit, hang out, and brainstorm over a beer.

Now, Sara and I are headed to California Pizza Kitchen for a much needed night out. Pizza has never sounded so good!

Though I'm not patient by nature, the overall quality of this latest version actually makes me comfortable about waiting for the bugs to be ironed out. I'm not a big fan of the hackneyed phrase "Web 2.0," but this release of Yahoo! Mail better epitomizes the fluid, intuitive nature such apps are supposed to engender than almost anything I've seen of late. (Some others are Clipmarks, Google's Picasa Web Albums, Windows Live Local, and Yahoo! Local).

I met Eric G a few weeks back and got so excited about Clipmarks that I've been spending thursdays here in the office, brainstorming about how I can help build the clipmarks community and spread the word.

New Yorkers: We're geeks too

"There's so much innovation happening here in the city!" extolled Glitchcast blogger and BarCampNYC participant Eric Skiff, who works at Web 2.0 start-up Clipmarks.

While Skiff admitted that he and his co-workers are well aware of the popular view that Silicon Valley is the center of American technological innovation, he's eager to stand up for his city. "In reality, there are tons of start-ups here doing innovative and amazing things, mixed with campuses from every major tech company you can think of," he said. After all, Google (native to Silicon Valley) did just open a block-long complex in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood.
