Instead, people can get trapped on what Brickman coined a hedonic treadmill, or an endless search for bigger and better material goods to bring pleasure. The problem with this pathological pleasure-seeking is its intrinsic emptiness. By definition, pleasure is momentary and fleeting -- leaving us wanting more. Contentment, on the other hand, means appreciating present circumstances and surroundings.

<clipSource>http://health.howstuffworks.com/human-nature/emotions/happiness/being-happy/5-signs-not-happy4.htm</clipSource>

STRESS

clipped by: dme106

Clip Source: health.howstuffworks.com

3: Uncontrollable Stress

According to positive psychology, or the science of subject well-being, environment plays an important role in people's quest for happiness. Feeling safe and comfortable generates contentment and satisfaction. Conversely, an excessively stressful environment promotes anxiety and insecurity. For instance, a study comparing controllable and uncontrollable stress found that the latter caused greater unhappiness and tension [source: Breier et al]. While stress compels us to work more efficiently and achieve greater goals, too much of it can adversely affect long-term happiness.

We routinely rely on others to make us feel human and connected. Bullying disrupts groups of co-workers. Sometimes bullies play divide 'n conquer games ordering colleagues to not help or communicate with the target.

More common is the group's tendency to informally separate themselves from the target. Resentment for exposing peers to the target's misery evolves into estrangement and eventual abandonment. or local 4-H clubs, that they are experienced with house
rabbits or the medical needs of older rabbits.
Unfortunately, such veterinarians often tend to approach rabbits
as stock animals rather than as beloved companions. They
may never have done a spay or neuter and "treatment" of
any difficulty may amount to euthanasia (when dealing
with stock or show animals, the financial bottom line may
be the primary consideration).

Antibiotics that should never be given to rabbits. Even one dose of
the following can be deadly: Amoxicillin, lincomycin, clindamycin.

Do not make your choice based on how close the veterinarian is
to your home (unless that veterinarian is the clear "winner").
Paying money to a veterinarian who does not know anything (or
very little) about rabbits is just throwing your money
away and can cost the life of your companion.

Bunting, Breeding Bird Survey results show a long-term (1966-2003) decline at an

identified, and could include factors affecting Painted Buntings both on the
breeding grounds, or in areas where buntings occur in winter or on migration.
Among the latter factors is the potential effect of commercial trapping, which
is illegal in the United States but which is common in Mexico and
in Cuba.

<clipSource>http://www.birds.cornell.edu/pabu/conservation</clipSource>

INTERESTING

clipped by: dme106

Clip Source: www.popsci.com

Beyond the personal anger and resentment that grudges cause, it's also bad for your health: it causes high levels of stress, high blood pressure, more anxiety, and poor anger-management skills. Instead, commit to forgive and find compassion, even if forgiveness does not yield reconciliation. Recognize the value moving forward adds to the quality of life. One who has finally forgiven someone will be more at peace, even if it is necessary to forgive again and again when memories trigger unhappiness. Ultimately, looking beyond the bad will bring much joy, and that is why it helps to achieve that much-needed closure.
