Covers 3.5 Thru 30 MHz Bands

The G5RV is an excellent all-band (3.5-30 MHz) 102 Ft. dipole. The 102 Ft. dipole with 31 Ft. feeder of 450 ohm transmission line achieves a resonance on all bands from 80 to 10 meters with only one antenna without any loss in traps and coils The impedance at the end of the 450 ohm feed line is 50-60 ohms.

G5RV Antenna

The G5RV antenna is probably one of the most maligned antennas in the world. I'm not quite sure how it got its reputation, but if there was ever a national association for the advancement or fair treatment of antennas the G5RV would be the poster child! Part of this is because people install G5RV's in very sloppy installations and then assume all G5RV's will perform like their badly installed antenna. Another part of the problem is people quote, read, or misread inaccurate articles or folklore.

Remember WENN made me homesick for a past that isn't even mine.

At WENN in Pittsburgh, it's the early years of World War II and each day at this small station it's one thing after the other as the small cast and crew struggle to perform day-to-day programming on a shoestring budget. They're not afraid to try anything new, be it from a new line in detective stories to the radical idea of a radio talk show. The performers include Mackie Bloom, the "Man of a Thousand Voices;" Hilary Booth, the sharp-tongued ex-Broadway actress, and her husband Jeffrey Singer, he of the roving eye--plus curiously silent special effects master Mr. Foley (it's a treat every week just to see how Mr. Foley doesn't speak this time) and our intrepid support staff, including young writer Betty Roberts, whose own introduction to WENN parallels our own.
