John McCain's choice of running mate, President Bush has quietly moved to expand the reach of presidential power by ensuring that America remains in a state of permanent war.

Buried in a recent proposal by the Administration is a sentence that has received scant attention -- and was buried itself in the very newspaper that exposed it Saturday. It is an affirmation that the United States remains at war with al Qaeda, the Taliban and "associated organizations."

Part of a proposal for Guantanamo Bay legal detainees, the provision before Congress seeks to “acknowledge again and explicitly that this nation remains engaged in an armed conflict with Al Qaeda, the Taliban, and associated organizations, who have already proclaimed themselves at war with us and who are dedicated to the slaughter of Americans.”

<clipSource>http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Bush_seeks_to_institutionalize_war_powers_0830.html</clipSource>

What comes of repressing sexual desires

clipped by: deusdiabolus

Clip Source: www.news.com.au

AN AUSTRALIAN pastor who inspired hundreds of thousands of people with his fight against terminal cancer has admitted he faked his illness to hide an addiction to porn.

Of tough and bough and cough and dough.
Others may stumble, but not you,
On hiccough, thorough, laugh and through.
Well done! And now you wish, perhaps,
To learn of less familiar traps.
Beware of heard, a dreadful word,
That looks like beard and sounds like bird.
And dead - it’s said like bed, not bead,
For goodness’ sake, don’t call it ‘deed’!
Watch out for meat and great and threat,
(They rhyme with suite and straight and debt).
A moth is not a moth in mother,
Nor both in bother, broth in brother.
And here is not a match for there,
Nor dear and fear for bear and pear.
And then there’s dose and rose and lose –
Just look them up – and goose and choose.
And cork and work and card and ward,
And font and front and word and sword.
And do and go and thwart and cart –
Come, come, I’ve hardly made a start!
A dreadful language? Why man alive!
I’d mastered it when I was five.

<clipSource>http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Alphabetic_principle&oldid=234159893</clipSource>

Does the full moon cause stroke-like symptoms?

clipped by: deusdiabolus

Clip Source: www.dailyexpress.co.uk

THE full moon may cause people to suffer symptoms similar to those of a stroke, experts believe.

The number of people treated for mystery numbness and co-ordination loss rises significantly on full-moon nights – like tonight.

And although there is no permanent damage, the symptoms can at first seem like those of a stroke.

Dr Terry Quinn, of the University of Glasgow Medical School, said: “We found a significant increase in presentations to a stroke unit with medically unexplained symptoms during the full moon.”

The researchers analysed all admissions to Glasgow’s Western Infirmary stroke unit between January 1993 and September 2006. Of more than 7,200 patients, 129 were found to have medically unexplained stroke symptoms, or MUSS.

Despite intensive tests, doctors could not explain these symptoms. William Randolph Hearst (Citizen Kane) and the Hearst Paper Manufacturing Division of Kimberly Clark owned vast acreage of timberlands. The Hearst Company supplied most paper products. Patty Hearst's grandfather, a destroyer of nature for his own personal profit, stood to lose billions because of hemp.

In 1937, Dupont patented the processes to make plastics from oil and coal. Dupont's Annual Report urged stockholders to invest in its new petrochemical division. Synthetics such as plastics, cellophane, celluloid, methanol, nylon, rayon, Dacron, etc., could now be made from oil. Natural hemp industrialization would have ruined over 80% of Dupont's business.

Do not get involved in their business, do not play their games, do not volunteer anything, do not agree to anything, do not play with them, or for them. Once you do, your ass is theirs. They own you, with your consent at that.

By the same principle, don't fuck around, don't trespass, don't steal, and don't be a crook. Learn the law VERY carefully, keep a copy of Black's Law Dictionary (I think 6th edition is out now) in several different versions. Look up innocent looking terms and verbs in forms. DO NOT consent to anything period. Sign nothing. Be sure you know what is "your name" and what is what someone may call you. Practice your rights. Yes... all of them. A right practiced doesn't need to be infringed, because you already don't have it.

Never ever trust strangers. Proper head and neck alignment is essential for getting a good night's sleep, and the only way to get enough support is with a good pillow and the ability to stretch your body out fully.

Dim the Lights

Replace those 100-watt lightbulbs in your bedroom with 45-watt bulbs

Lower Your Thermostat

Keeping the temperature of your bedroom between 68 and 72 degrees will prevent you from reaching for another blanket or waking up drenched in sweat.

Get Into a Routine
