The God that most Americans worship occasionally gets upset about abortion and gay marriage, but he is a softy compared with the Yahweh of the Hebrew Bible.

This makes construction a breeze, you can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence.
Just get your wife to hold the fence boards in place while you sit back, relax with a cold drink and when she has the board in the right place, just fire away. With the hundred round magazine, you can build the fence with a minimum of reloading.
After a day of fence building with the new DeWalt Rapid fire nail gun,
the wife will not ask you to build or fix anything else again.

Regarding atheism, Hitler specifically opposed it in a 1933 speech in Berlin: “We were convinced that the people need and require this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out.”
prussian
5. By order of the Führer (Hitler), Nazi Germany’s soldiers (Wehrmacht) wore belt buckles inscribed “Gott mit uns” (”God is with us”). An atheist would never demand this.

With just these five facts out of many others, why would they still insist that Adolf Hitler was an atheist? Only total ignorance would support such misguided statements

Clip Source: proudatheists.wordpress.com

Facts
1. Adolf Hitler was raised and baptized as a Roman Catholic in the midst of a Catholic family. He also served as an alter boy in the Catholic church.

2. Hitler wrote in his book, Mein Kampf: “. . . I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews, I am doing the Lord’s work.” He made essentially the same claim in a speech before the Reichstag in 1938.

3. In 1941 Hitler told Gerhard Engel, one of his generals: “I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so.” In fact, Hitler was never excommunicated from the Catholic Church, and Mein Kampf was not placed on the Church’s Index of Forbidden Books. Yes, the Catholic church supported the Nazi movement and the killing of millions of Jews. There probably were an undisclosed/unknown amount of atheists killed also.

Tags: religion, hitler, catholic, pope, nazi, atheism

<clipSource>http://proudatheists.wordpress.com/2009/04/12/why-do-christians-insist-that-hitler-was-an-atheist/</clipSource>

Beautiful but wet — very wet

clipped by: swampfoxz
clipper's remarks: lush and tropical

Clip Source: swampfoxz.com

Beautiful but wet — very wet

The heavy year-round rainfall makes the island as lush and tropical as any in the Caribbean. I'd like to give it to Tanyamm, who every day makes us all smile with her fabulous LOLcat clips and is always so polite, sweet, funny and just an all 'round great gal, who I am proud to call a fellow clipper. It made official what many women have known all along: Our friendships not only make us feel better, they are a positive force for reducing stress and helping us lead healthier, happier lives.

The UCLA study found that women respond to stress with a rush of brain chemicals that makes us seek out women for comfort and support.

The catalyst for this research came when Klein and a colleague, Shelley Taylor,
realized that when women working in their lab were stressed, they gathered

together to commiserate, while stressed-out men went off on their own.

Even having a woman nearby in stressful times makes a difference: Doula-supported childbirth in which a woman supports the birthing mother has been demonstrated to reduce labor by more than an hour. In short, friends help us live calmer, longer, better lives.

<clipSource>http://www.opednews.com/articles/Women-s-Friendships-Lift-M-by-Elayne-Clift-090629-613.html</clipSource>

Is God Trying To Talk To Someone In America?

clipped by: thisnamecantbetaken
clipper's remarks: What's worse, many pastors avoid talking to their congregations about repentance and self sacrifice. So, like the vampire Lasat, they drain them of true spiritual life, while seducing them with voter-pamphlet sermons and feel-good theology.

The organized church is in big trouble today--the message of repentance is a flat subject among churchgoers. People want to pull a voting lever, offer vocal support for whatever politician pays lip service to a few hot-button social issues, and shout hallelujah as they drive off in their Lincoln.

Satan smiles and waves as they go by.

What America needs is a repentant, spiritual church, not the political arm of a dominionist cult. Want to argue that point? Do it with the God who says, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Clip Source: www.newswithviews.com

Their unjust war in Iraq angered

the Commandments broken, all to acquire the wealth of oil!

After
thirty years of pastoring and thousands of hours of volunteer labor, I
feel I've earned the right to say it: something dreadful has happened
to the organized church. It has lost its way, its authority

We do not stand with kingdom authority
because we attend the local mega church, sing in the choir, teach a Sunday
school class, belong to a Christian coalition or a political action group,
voted for George Bush, or even participate in a prayer meeting where loud,
teeth-gritting, mad commands are shouted at Satan. True spiritual authority
is given by God to whom He qualifies. His criteria are clear. It is the
humble, not the Sunday-morning-the-pastor-is-watching-me humble, but truly

They are the true owners of this land and greed will continue to step on and over those who outnumber the greedy few at the top, millions of times over. In the video for her most recent hit, Stopp, Maggio dons a pair of somewhat disconcerting gloves made from scissors and knives. “It’s because I saw the Edward Scissorhands movie just a few weeks before” explains Maggio:

“The song is about loving somebody that you were with and then realizing that you want that person back desperately and you can’t do anything about it. The more you try to get that person to love you, the further away they move from you… So I thought that the scissor hands was a good metaphor for how when you hurt somebody and you hurt yourself, you can’t really touch that person at all”.

“I wanted it to be a bit psycho too, a bit like a scary stalker person!
