The Living to 100 Life Expectancy Calculator uses the most current and carefully researched medical and scientific data in order to estimate how old you will live to be. Most people score in their late eighties... how about you?

The calculator asks you 40 quick questions related to your health and family history, and takes about 10 minutes to complete.

As the pageant would be destroyed, so our government has been destroyed.

Clip Source: www.youtube.com

I was already aware of how the 2-party system is used to contain revolution in most "democratic" countries. But I was very impressed with the way that Alex sketched it out in simple, easy-to-understand terms.

It is very important for us all to realise that we are living under a simple but clever system that has been designed to contain revolution whilst projecting the illusion of being a free, fair and open democracy. The 2-party system provides firm support for the elite to implement their agenda from the top down, whilst the ordinary people at the grassroots level squabble between themselves over which political party is the best. In reality, it doesn't matter which of the two parties you vote for because the same agenda will unfold regardless. Hence, both parties are controlled at the very top by the same force.

<clipSource>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTahZE4q90U</clipSource>

Bullet Proof Clothing - The Rage in Mexico City

clipped by: willhelm

Clip Source: www.iht.com

Exclusive clothing boutiques line Avenida Presidente Masarik here.
But tucked on a leafy side street in the Polanco neighborhood is a shop unlike the others, one whose bustling business says much about the dire state of security in this country. At Miguel Caballero, named after its Colombian owner, all the garments are bulletproof.

There are bulletproof leather jackets and bulletproof polo shirts. Armored guayabera shirts hang next to protective windbreakers, parkas and even white ruffled tuxedo shirts. Every member of the sales staff has had to take a turn being shot while wearing one of the products, which range from a few hundred dollars to as much as $7,000, so they can attest to the efficacy of the secret fabric.

<clipSource>http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/10/06/america/06mexico.php</clipSource>

Almost Gone

clipped by: arifsali
clipper's remarks: The International Union for Conservation of Nature has released its Red List of the world's most threatened plants and animals. I just heard fineman say that the "that one" statement wasn't racial. I am a 54 year old white guy that grew up in NC and the rule was when you couldn't say N*****, you just said "that one" (or more acurately, that'n). Lots of people won't get that this was racist and like the comments I heard on the show wrtie this off as an old guy. Old guys grew up in a racist America and this is what is normal to them This is a note from a Texas newspaper from a week or so ago.

The Great Schlep aims to have Jewish grandchildren visit their grandparents in Florida, educate them about Obama, and therefore swing the crucial Florida vote in his favor. Even if it’s inaction, it’s still a response. I think one of our greatest downfalls, as a people, is that we make excuses, particularly that we’re ‘too busy.' Well, I wanted to respond immediately; this issue just hit me."

“A New York Times article first brought human slavery to my attention in 2003, just before I went on tour in Russia. When I was over there, I met several girls who were acting as translators. They told me how were getting the same kinds of offers that I’d read about. It was like 'Wow, now I’m seeing it, how do I find a way to connect immediately?'"

“I realized that two things were needed: re-learning the meaning of slavery was one. We’ve relegated it to history, as though it no longer exists but when people are sold against their will it’s the same thing and alive now more than ever. The second thing is...

Clip Source: atlanta.metromix.com

A lifelong, talented musician, Justin Dillon skirted the fringes of success without making it "big." Despite having always been a conscious student of world affairs, filmmaking was never in his blood – or at least so he thought. Yet a 2003 show in Russia opened his eyes to the globe’s most overlooked social issue: human slavery, which, as revealed by his subsequent documentary debut, is more prevalent now than ever.

Due for national release on Oct. 10, "Call + Response" emotionally provokes its audience into action. Perhaps, too, Dillon’s creative, personal journey which brought politicians, musicians, academics and film stars together and included a global trek into slavery’s crannies, represents the ascendancy of one man from a solitary decrier of injustice into an agent of positive change.

So if we, collectively with power and money, demand slave-free products or services, we can effect change.

Tags: film, slavery

<clipSource>http://atlanta.metromix.com/music/article/exposing-global-injustice/658068/content</clipSource>

Citizen Terrorists Deleted

clipped by: debbyski
clipper's remarks: "Promising reform to angry legislators, the Maryland police are scrambling not so much to apologize as to notify the 53 that they were falsely deemed terrorists and can inspect their files before the files are purged.
