This is a question for Republicans - and ~~Republicans~~ Democrats and Libertarians ~~only~~ alike - and I am serious and I really want an answer. See, the other day Jim Fiore posted a clip of a TV news reporter defending Palin's foreign policy experience by saying that Alaska was next to Russia. Then today Cindy McCain makes the same argument to George Stephanopoulos. I have also seen this argument pop up in a number of forums. So here is my question - and remember this is for Republicans only.

If John McCain had picked, oh, say, a chimpanzee, such as the nice looking one pictured below, for his running mate:

Would you now be citing passages from Frans de Waal's Chimpanzee Politics to justify his choice? I may sound flip, but seriously, I want an answer.

clipper's remarks: I am surprise by the number in my state , it's sad. By no means does education is cut for everybody for reason unknown to us. IMO they must at least have a high school education . I have seen my people with a high school diploma and become a highly successful citizens of the communities. My guess is finish high school aim for the best at what you like to do, if you failed at least you are still good.
As the saying goes you only need to be a step ahead to beat the crowd.
I have a small business and I am going to judge you on what you can do and getting along with people then purely on Education alone.

Australia to apologise to Aborigines

Australia's newly elected Labor government said on Wednesday that it would give a formal apology to the so-called "stolen generation" of Aborigines, the first item on the agenda for the new ruling party

Indigenous Affairs Minister Jenny Macklin said Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is set to deliver the apology on the first day of business for the new parliament, which is on February 13

Macklin stressed that the apology to those Aborigines who were forcibly removed from their families as children, and placed in foster care or institutions was paramount in uniting the nation adding that it is the "first, necessary step to move forward from the past"

The previous conservative government strongly refused to offer the indigenous people a formal apology for past wrongs doings implying that saying "sorry" would make the public responsible for all wrong doing

"This Welcome will carry national significance in symbolising a future of respect and partnership with indigenous people," she said

Israel is asking the Beatles to "Let It Be", apologising for cancelling their concert four decades ago and asking surviving members of the legendary band to play at the nation's 60th birthday bash.

Israel plans to deliver letters of apology to the two surviving members of the British group and relatives of the deceased members for cancelling a concert in 1965, an official at Israel's London embassy said.

"We would like to take this opportunity to rectify a historic missed opportunity which unfortunately took place in 1965 when you were invited to Israel," the mass-selling Yediot Aharonot quoted the letter as saying.

"Unfortunately the state of Israel cancelled your performance in the country due to lack of budget and because several politicians in the Knesset had believed at the time that your performance might corrupt the minds of the Israeli youth."

LONDON: If you are a male and lack the ability to attract females, then simply get a happy-looking woman to accompany you, for a new study has found that men in the company of smiling women are likely to catch the fancy of other females.

However, the study also suggests that other men may view them as a threat.

According to psychologists, the copycat behaviour among women is because they do not have confidence in their own judgment.
