WuChess, a partnership between Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and ChessPark, a social network around online chess playing, launches today. It’s the “world’s first online chess and hip hop community” and will also include exclusive videos and mp3 of the “hottest cats in hip hop.”

See a tour of the service here. That’s as far as most of you’ll get on WuChess, because, incredibly, they’re charging $48/year to join. ChessPark, by contrast, at least has a free version (but no videos or mp3s, sadly). The company promises to donate “a portion of the profits” to the Hip Hop Chess Federation.

Awesome. Hip hop, chess and $48 per year - definite winner.

The DVD release of Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay will allow viewers to choose their own adventure. Not much has been revealed yet, but the official press materials lists a special feature called “Dude, Change the Movie!” which will allow “you to select from new and alternate scenes to change the course of the film.” And you might be asking, how much extra footage could they have shot to make this interactive feature worth trying out? The answer is 27 Additional Scenes!? The DVD hits store shelves on July 29th 2008.

Grave Diggers Admit They Used Skull as Bong

Three Kingwood were arrested after admitting to Houston police they had dug up a child’s corpse, removing the skull and then turning it into a bong which they used to smoke marijuana.

"They cut the jaw off of it and wrapped it in electrical tape and used it to make a bong," Officer Jim Adkins tells the local Fox affiliate.

Kevin Wade Jones, 17, and Matthew Richard Gonzalez, 17, were arrested Wednesday night and are being held on misdemeanor charges of corpse abuse.

The corpse’s skull could not be recovered.

Jamie Bamber was born in England and attended the famed London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). While still at LAMDA, he was cast in his first professional role, playing Archie Kennedy in A&E's "Horatio Hornblower" miniseries. Other credits include the HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers" and "Daniel Deronda" for the BBC.

Some might call it a huge boost in his career, but for Callum Keith Rennie, it's practically a trip home.

The actor, best known to fans as the Cylon Leoben on "Battlestar Galactica," has signed on for "X-Files 2" in a yet-to-be-announced role, according to Variety.

Rennie is making a big return to the franchise, one he had a guest spot in during the show's early years as The Groundskeeper in "Fresh Bones." However, Rennie could've had his big break since he was originally offered the role of the recurring Alex Krycek ... a role he would turn down, according to Cinematical. When he turned it down, he suggested to the producers they cast Nicolas Lea for the role, which they did.

Rennie's part on the show took place when the series was filmed in Vancouver, B.C, Rennie's work base. The show would later move to Los Angeles as well as the 1998 movie, but this production marks a return of the franchise to its Canadian roots.
