This article will show you how to link to a specific point in any YouTube video by adding an extension to the URL. That way, next time you post a link to Facebook or email your friend that funny video, it'll start right where you want it to.

Go to the video you are linking to and pause it at the point you want it to start when you link to it. Hover the cursor over the round time marker on the red bar at the bottom of the video. The time should appear above it.

Add #t=[number minutes]m[number seconds]s to the end of the URL in the browser bar, ensuring it follows directly after the video code. If it says "&feature=related" or "&feature=popular" right after the code, just erase that.

Your URL should now look like this: youtube.com/watch?v=a1b2c3d4#t=1m15s (This example would link to 1 minute and 15 seconds.)

Copy and paste the URL so the people who click on it will start watching it right at that time!

The Masters Brush and Hand Soap-USEFUL!

clipper's remarks: I have used both of these for about two years. Yeah they are a bit expensive but if you ever think you have a paintbrush that you think is totally un-savable-try the brush cleaner. Or if you've ever tried to get acrylic paint off your hands for nearly two days....ugh. :S

I used to use dish soap to clean oil paint from my brushes and my hands, but it didn’t do a great job. My brushes didn’t get perfectly clean and didn’t last long. My hands were raw because I had to use a wire scrub brush with the dish soap, removing not only the paint but the top layer of my skin, too. A friend told me about The Masters brush cleaner and hand soap, both of which work better than anything else I’ve seen.

This soap’s not cheap. I paint a lot, and therefore go through tubs quickly. Still, the brush soap’s a great product, and it has allowed me to continue to use the same $.99 brush for the past year, if not longer.

The pumice-like brush soap has a little grit to it, and I’ve found it leaves a bit of residue on the towel I use to dry my brush. I can wipe my hands on the towel afterwards, and get them mostly clean. I keep The Masters hand soap bar around for the finishing touches.

NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, is a competition to write a 50,000 word novel entirely in the month of November. It is a fun way to write in a community atmosphere. Although there are no prizes for winning (save the bragging rights), the accomplishment of having finished a 50,000 word novel in a month is a prize in itself.

NaNoWriMo is known as NaNo for short, and started when Chris Baty challenged some of his friends to write 50,000 words in one month in 1999. It has grown to over 100,000 participants worldwide, of whom more than 15,000 finished in 2007. ^[1]

When you lose sight of a pin, it's dangerous. But it's troublesome to take pins in and out of a container one by one. This small pin cushion is convenient for sewing crafts. It can be made easily with a bottle cap which is otherwise thrown away. You can even wear this pincushion like a ring. How convenient!

Make two holes with a push pin as shown. A standard needle or pin will be too weak to pierce through the firm plastic of the cap.

Pass a string through the holes. Instead of a string, you can use a rigid line of plastic cut from a straw or plastic bottle. The important thing is that it is secured on the inside of the cap so that on the outside, the loop fits snugly on your finger like a ring.

Cut cloth into a circle of about 2.5 times of diameter of cap's diameter. (Diameter is the length of a line from one edge of the circle to the other, and this line must pass through the center point.)

This has got to be The Most Useful Periodic Table Ever. Not just a boring list of elements and stuff, but also includes things that actually use these basic building blocks of our universe. It’s a joint effort between the University of York in the UK and some other bods, and it’s sitting on a staging server at oil giant BP.com, so this link might not survive long.

Definitely worth downloading if only to learn that Hafnium 72 is used in nuclear submarines and Lanthanum 57 in lighter flints and camera lenses. Who coulda guessed?

This July 16 photo, made available Sept. 2, 2009, shows a "crying face" in an ice cap located on Nordaustlandet, in the Svalbard archipelago of Norway. The "tears" in the natural sculpture were created by a waterfall of glacial water cascading from one of the face's "eyes" and painted an alarming picture warning the world about the effects of global warming. Marine photographer and environmental lecturer Michael Nolan captured this picture while on an annual voyage to observe the glacier and surrounding wildlife. "This is how one would imagine mother nature would express her sentiments about our inability to reduce global warming. It seemed an obvious place for her to appear, on the front of a retreating ice shelf, crying," Nolan told the U.K.'s Telegraph.

Just short of a year later, Gana became a mother again -- and this time the baby was healthy. Gana, shown here nursing her 3-day-old baby, Claudia, earned the world's sympathy for her extended, emotional mourning process. Ilona Zuehlke, a spokeswoman for the zoo, said the birth of Claudia has had a visible effect on the proud mother. "Gana looks very happy," Zuehlke told The Associated Press.
