Of course, it could also be used to boost the other methods' results.

Clip Source: hubpages.com

With the barrage of highly competitive ads on TV and in print, many are setting their sights on aerial advertisement. As an airplane flies over a crowd of people, attention is drawn to their message streaming in the wind and there is no competition to distract from it!

People have promoted products and places through TV and the printed page for decades. Some have asked themselves, "Why not try something different for a change?" A banner flapping in the wind behind a plane will be read. But will the message be remembered? The key is in the design of that message.

Tags: aerial advertising

<clipSource>http://hubpages.com/hub/Items-to-Consider-with-Aerial-Advertising</clipSource>

How aerial advertising works

clipped by: coolbeans

Clip Source: www.squidoo.com

It works like this. The drone of the plane in the sky causes people to look up. There, behind the plane, is a banner flapping in the wind and displaying a large, readable message, product, logo, or website. Curiosity sets in. "Who hired this plane to tote their message?" "Who is going to pay so much to get their message to the public?" or some wonder simply, "What does it say?" For up to seventeen seconds the people watching can repeatedly read the ad. The message has been delivered.

Tags: aerial advertising, advertising

<clipSource>http://www.squidoo.com/aerial-advertising</clipSource>

Aerial advertising is more memorable.

clipped by: coolbeans
clipper's remarks: How the advertising from those planes that fly by towing banners compares with other advertising methods.

Clip Source: www.gather.com

Though it costs less, aerial advertising reaches more people in a more effective way. One example is a beach in Miami that was advertised to and then, 30 minutes later, 2000 people were surveyed. The survey showed that 88% knew the ad had flown by, 79% could recall the product or service, and 67% could recall at least half of the exact message. Could the printed media or radio and TV ads match this effectiveness at a reasonable five dollars per thousand people targeted? Amazingly, you can reach the same number of people with less than half the budget required for traditional advertising by using aerial advertising. Those spending significant amounts of their budget on traditional advertising would do well to consider this option.

Tags: aerial advertising, advertising

<clipSource>http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977340028</clipSource>

Look up in the sky! It really is a plane!

clipped by: coolbeans
clipper's remarks: I've seen these flying at sports events but this article is talking about flying over highways. I can see the advantage for advertisers but how safe is it for commuters to be looking up while in traffic?

Clip Source: www.airsign.com

The news is filled with reports about how gridlock on America's streets and highways is bad and getting worse. Motorists are being forced to drive more slowly during commutes that are covering ever longer distances. These "slow and go" driving conditions are giving more motorists more time to look at signs.

Traffic congestion is creating a billboard advertiser's paradise! But billboards in prime locations are few in number and hugely expensive - unless you rent an aerial banner using aerial advertising to put your message wherever you want, whenever you wish!

Curiosity makes these giant images irresistible! It will not be uncommon for one-hundred-thousand of the right sets of eyes to be on your logo and website URL every hour and at a cost per prime time view which you can't achieve with any other medium.

Tags: aerial advertising, traffic gridlock, advertising

<clipSource>http://www.airsign.com/aerial-advertising-gridlock.php</clipSource>
